Where did you hear/read that? All sources I find are very conservative or outright right wing ones and there is nothing about it reported here so I somehow doubt that its real or reported correctly.

Well, the UN could theocratically demand stuff like that but it has no real power to enforce it. Conspiracy nuts often make the UN out to be a powerful cabal or organization that somehow enforces its will upon other states and is part of some global conspiracy to impose "the New World order" (that can mean anything, including Jews taking over the world, one world government or whatever crackpot ideas there are) instead of the overblown debate club that it really is that is often crippled by the bigger powers vetoing everything they dont like or goes against their nations policy so yeah.

So whenver you hear stuff like this, I would be very, very skeptical because its often hot air, made out of whole cloth, take out of context or fails to see the reality that the UN is rather impotent to do anything anyway.
