I think people just found my stuff by accident, or on "browse." I write, so there are fewer folk looking for my stuff.

I'm pretty sure the bulk of my watchers aren't really watchers, but watch-backs (gods I hate that habit people have).
As for the rest -- lots of submissions. Being active for a long time helps too.
Free art journals also help, especially if you ask folks to spread the word.

I would have to say that it's a combination of the friendly and charming attitude and also frequent activity on the site, browsing artwork and faving some of them. Sometimes, the artists of the artwork I fave become my watchers, yet I also get in contact with other members of the fandom who also happen to have accounts on FA.

yeah! ive noticed that.. its a great place to meet the furrys online that you meet in person, ive only been to a handful of cons so far, but I see most of them on here too

The trick is to constantly post lots of work. People like to see new stuff coming in. Often you get noticed by new people off of the "new" front page. It is all about exposure and a generally friendly web presence. Talk to your fans.
