I'm so blessed

Guaranteed to put you to sleep faster than Ben Stein reading the periodical table of elements!
Omgosh. I'm so horribly touched that I'm sniffly!
Erin sent me a Valentines day card in the mail, even though I see her fairly often, (but never enough!) telling me how happy she is to have her as her honorary sister ;-;!
This week was going to suck, but now I can't wipe the grin off my face. It really reminded me just how blessed my life is, and I've gone from dreading the upcoming holiday, to having a boosted appreciation of everything that I DO I have. I swear, you know that you're lucky when it's not just loving friends you're surrounded by, but when you have a sister like her that'll always be there. *melts* Haha, now I'm getting the card all soggy..

Fortunately, her company sent her back to her school to recruit from the graduating class. so we got to see each other too.
probably wont get to see her for another two months or more. *merf*
Trying to put together the money to move right now actually. what really sucks is its her birthday within a week after V-day. and that is a day I Truly love to calibrate every year.
(once I even flew across the country to surprise her on a birthday.)

well, I live in a 18000 lbs 37ft 5th wheel trailer. saves on the rent, but has other issues. like 6.25 mpg while moving it down the road with my truck. so, vegas is 2400 miles straight through Denver, that is $900 for gas, but I will have to wait until may for reliable roads.
or better yet I can go through Dallas and Phoenix and see all my old friends and some family, find slightly cheaper gas, and avoid most of the weather(once I get south of ohio.)
but that is 2900 miles and $1050.
my tax return should just barely cover it. but there are other expenses. but even so, I have to have three days of clear weather(no snow) so I can get out of NY and south of ohio on dry-ish roads.
I still have hope I can leave by the end of the month. and get there in a week or so. Got so many friends in the DFW though I mite stay for three days if I have the money. have to see where I can park my trailer. and my dad might help in phoenix with a tank of gas.
as to setting a date, we had original plans of "about a year after she graduates" that was last june. but she entered an executive training program that has her moving every three months, so I was going to wait here until june-ish and we knew where she was going for a permanent position.
but she exceeded there expectations and was moved to the home office in Vegas 6 months before her training is done, and they expect to give her a position in her current department at the end of the program. If they don't we can get a quick marriage in vegas and they will pay for me to move where she goes.
either way, we will set a date sometime this summer. and then we will start plans for the wedding in the next 3 to 12 months. (even if we are already married)
(has paws crossed, prayers said and candles lit, and everything else I can think off. even some Hawaiian Huna.)
next question? *grin*

Sorry I couldn't mail you a card or send an email greeting before today though. Hope today was a good day for you!
It helps promote the fascenation our culture has with love, and how you have to be in a relationship to be truly happy / are no one if you don't have someone to love. It takes something beautiful and wonderful (the pure feelings a man and woman feel for each other) and turns them into another excuse to buy, buy, buy. If a woman doesn't receive a gift, her boyfriend / lover / husband must not love her enough. If she does get something ... well, why should she be but so thankful? It's his duty, after all. And vice versa.
It humiliates those who aren't involved with someone else in a romantic way. It makes them feel that they're missing out on something, and rubs their nose in a subject that's probably already a touchy one to begin with, by constantly shoving in their faces images of happy couples, walking in the park, kissing sweetly, holding hands ... or giving each other gifts, of course.
And don't even get me started on little kids bringing shoeboxes of valentines to school for all the girls in their class ...
I'll spend the day scattering kisses over the real number one man in my life, my son, hehe
besides flowers last up to a week if cared for and we really don't need a box of chocolate Every day(every other is fine*wink*) same with cards and love notes.
I like randomness, often as something inspires me, but not all the time. so it is a surprise, a special something.
for every day. I strive to give Love, Respect, and Curtsy. and that can be hard enough some times.
(good so see you got your priorities straight, Sharra.)

You are special to me and I am so lucky to have you in my life!
