I've been seeing some people around lately, selling PSD files of bases for characters that you can color and add to and make your own characters or adoptables from.
I wonder, if I started selling stuff like that, would people be interested? That, or t-shirt designs or a patreon or something? It's been difficult finding a full-time job at a studio and if it was possible to bring in some passive income I could use the freed up time to work on my portfolio, my game, and more personal art to share with everyone.
What do you all think? Is there something you enjoy seeing from me that you would like to see more of in the future?

T-Shirts would be cool too!!!
If I had some passive income though, returning to adoptables like that was one thing I'd consider, since I love to design characters~ ;v;
Ahhh I know the income problem v-v
I'm still thinking in relation to a patreon how I would handle tier rewards and giving them out, because I've heard a lot of stories of people pledging, getting all the rewards immediately, then removing the pledge before patreon even charges them.
If your going to build a Patreon, the biggest advice I would tell you is to be conscious of your audience, and build tiers that both make since as rewards, but also is a do-able endevour in the long run. Be communicative too, and don't be afraid to change up reward tiers based on how many Patreons you have jump on board with it. As long as you keep a strong presence with your patreon, people will likely follow you because your be upfront with them. It's a whole different step to people when they're making a monthly investment in you rather than making a single investment like with a commission.
If your goal is to complete these projects (game or portfolio) or what not, perhaps you should set that as your ultimate goal for the Patreon, and as reward tiers plan accordingly to be able to make those happen. If bases are something considered, maybe making a medium-low tier reward being access to a new base every month? If you like the T-Shirt idea, maybe make an Etsy or RedBubble or whatever, and have for lower tiers get discount codes to these purchasable merchandise?
Lastly I guess, as coming from a client's perspective. Prices are going to also be a big deal (and heck some people will actually do this where they give maybe only a dollar or two a month, because that's all the can invest). Also realize affordability too, I know I would love to get content from you, but your right in that area for me that would require me to throw away all my "eat-out-with-friends" budget for the month if I we're to order a commission (let's just say a full body). For the most part, I'm a watcher because I can see all the personal content, and other's commissions you've done for them, which is currently free. There would be basically no way for me to afford even the lowest level ref sheet option without saving for perhaps 3 months. If you switch to a patreon model, consider that there is probably a chunk of your audience who may even have it harder than me, and still watch you to support you and your endeavors. If you totally do away with the norm, you might separate your audience and leave them feeling abandoned.
And if I go with patreon, the original goal was to have it make it possible for me to do more original art and expand upon my characters and ideas. That would never be something that is exclusive to patrons, it would be so I could spend more time to make art normally again to share with everyone at all. Right now as it is, my original art and characters and ideas seem almost completely absent from my galleries.
Hmm, I could imagine doing a tier where you only get the base that's posted in that month, then a higher tier where you always have access to all the bases that have been made. That's a possibility too.
