I feel like I'm cursed to commission artists who aren't very professional in their line of work. not to say that all artists are like this, because I've worked with wonderful ones! but on the occasions, I get the types that make me go "oh no, not again"
been waiting for almost 7 months already for artwork that I'll probably never see. I was promised my art would be done by the end of the week in the first note I sent and you know what happens? :^) THAT'S RIGHT, NOTHING
my last note has been unread and this was back on Jul 5th. the artist's FA account is practically dead, no activity for over 5 months

I waited an entire year and I got nothing to show for it. I highly doubt they ever started on it in the first place. when 2017 rolled around I decided I was done and asked for a refund. every single note was read but ignored. the only way I got my money back, in the end, was when I threatened to post about them on artists beware
felt like a slap in the face because out of all of my notes that was the ONLY one they even bothered to reply to lmao.
my current situation right now, I feel like it's going down that same path from last year
it takes either a threat or a full post on artists beware before they actually take any action because oh no, you'll ruin my reputation!!! (that i ruined on my own to begin with????)
I was tempted to go ahead and post about them to AB anyway because of their shitty and unprofessional behavior as an artist but I decided not to. I got my point across and I got my money. didn't feel like going through the hassle
which is why i tend to stick to artists that I've gotten art from in the past
