I'm one of the lucky people who's parents a) know I'm furry and b) are totally cool about it. Though I didn't start going to cons and really getting into the fandom till I was out of the house and in college, I'm still rather close to my family and had to come up with some sort of explanation as to where I was going on these "vacations." Plus I usually stay with my grandmother when going to AC, so I sort of needed to tell here where Kiro and I were going to each morning :-P I don't think they fully understand the fandom, but they've seen pictures, heard my stories, and think its pretty cool. They're probably not surprised because I was always into wolves and other animals growing up...I just never grew out of it

Anywho, my parents are on vacation in Delaware right now and my mom called me the other night just to catch up. Partway through the conversation my dad gets on the phone and was like "Oh yeah, we wanted to tell you and Robbie...we saw a guy walking around downtown with an Anthrocon shirt!" After a little questioning I figured out it was one of the Furnandos t-shirts from this year. Yay for furries ALL OVER THE PLACE! ^.^
