It took over a year...

...but I think I've finally resolved the questions which were nagging at me in my previous journal entry.
I won't say, definitively, that "I've found my artistic voice" now and forevermore. But I'm closer than I've ever, ever been. 2017 has been a crap year in many respects, but artistically it's been amazing, with my trip to London with foxamoore, the staging of the 3.0 version of "Julie Bunny Must Die", and more recently the first public reading of my new show "The Impossible Club". Though my con schedule is a bit off-kilter, performance opportunities just keep growing - and with those come the opportunity to keep doing more of my own stuff.
Seriously, there never used to be a demand for my stuff. When I tried to put it out there, very little notice was taken. I was known only as a performer of novelty covers, as a member of a house band in a Midwestern city, and anything else was perceived as me simply taking a break from my "real job", or whatever. But that was then and this is now. I now have two not-quite-intersecting audiences; one in theater, one in the furry fandom. They're not massive audiences, but they're both big enough for me to start feeding on a more regular basis. My attention to the theatrical crowd is already in process.
For all you wonderful furry fans... I'm going to record a solo album, my first in 22 years. I haven't planned everything about it, other than I'm sitting on a lot of material I should just finish up. My current idea is that it's going to be a human album, insofar as I will use my normal voice and not Rhubarb's fursuit voice. But since the bear is the reason I'm recording it, I've decided that he's the producer.
I'll try not to talk about it too much; talking is too often an excuse to not do any actual work. But I'll at least announce my intentions now.
Let's rock.

I've done 9 solo albums so far (working on 10th) and each one is a step in that never-ending adventure. I am very excited to hear what you do!
