reality is a binary of Story and Void, with Story encompassing everything, and Void being everything that isn't anything at all

Tabrix is a magical adventurer/troublesome vagabond/horrifying parasite that travels between worlds making friends and having adventures/siphoning Story for inscrutable purposes!

Tabrix was originally just a normal wilderness child raised as a hunting dog to chase down and kill nothing children, as you do when you're rich and bored. Tabrix accidentally met and befriended a nothing heir named Kaha who taught her how to harness her own wilderness powers and become an heir. Instead of being HAPPY and PROUD like Tabrix thought, her owner was horrified and tied the two of them together and burnt them to death.

They both died, but Kaha's nothing heirdom meant death was just a thing, and she took Tabrix along for the ride into the voidwaste, which is the psuedo-world where worlds devoured by the Void go. This meant now there was this thing that was effectively Tabrix and Kaha at the same time because it inherited their narrative continuity, but since Kaha was a nothing heir she left most of the personality to Tabrix's side of things BUT it retained all of Kaha's horrifying nothing powers and a part of her mind that even Tabrix isn't consciously aware of is actually a horrifying nothing beast maybe controlling everything she does??

So Tabrix hangs out in the voidwaste and uses Void powers to travel between worlds and make friends/steal Story so she's a voiddog. Voiddeer. Voidferret. Voidogdeerferret.

Sounds like she fell in with the right crowd, good for her!
