When the leaves turn red, and the air grows cold (although it's in the 90s in the Midwest for some reason), I bust my butt trying to entertain my friends, acquaintances, and anyone who wants to have a good scare! So now, I'm proud to officially announce that my SEASONAL STREAMS Halloween block is back for its 3rd year of operation!
Last year I didn't really give any forethought to posting any journals on FA to announce this, instead turning to inviting my friends through various IM's. But this year, I'm working up the motivation and courage to inform you all about what I'm planning to show you this year, if you would allow me.
The Overview
Alright, first off, I'm going to start by telling you of a brand new programming block on Sundays, starting tomorrow. In order to get fans ready for season two, and to possibly get newcomers to get a Netflix subscription, I am streaming two episodes of the sleeper hit, STRANGER THINGS!
The stream starts tomorrow and every Sunday afterwards at 7 pm Central Time.
Week One (9/24-9/30): Kids Stuff - Before we officially get into October, I feel it necessary to break viewers into the Halloween season with light-hearted horror and Halloween movies. Such movies you'll find on the schedule this week include: Beetlejuice, The Nightmare before Christmas, Hotel Transylvania, Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters, and Goosebumps. I will also be devoting one day next week to a variety of classic Halloween TV specials such as: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Scary Godmother, Garfield's Halloween Adventure, and The Halloween Tree
Week Two (10/1-10/7): Classic Creatures - You've all heard of the cliché monsters that make up Halloween: Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf-Man, etc. Well, what other people see as cliché's, I see them as CLASSICS. So I'll be showing films with vampires ( Fright Night ), werewolves ( An American Werewolf in London ), mad scientists ( The Fly ), and more! In addition, I'll be playing the classic Dark Universe films from the 30s and 40s, so any old film buffs will find this enjoyable!
Week Three (10/8-10/14): Death, UNdeath, and the Afterlife - The point of horror movies is to scare people right? So what's more scarier than death? This week, I'll be presenting films that show what happens when people die and can't move on ( Poltergeist, Insidious ), when people die and don't STAY dead( Night of the Living Dead, Return of the Living Dead ), and the denizens and demons of the fiery afterlife commonly known as HELL ( The Exorcist, Drag me to Hell. I'll even be showing films featuring DEATH itself! ( Final Destination )
Week Four (10/15-10/21): Sci-Fi Scares and SINGING!! - There's all sorts of terrors that science cannot fathom. Terrors that we find out in space ( Alien ), that come here to Earth ( The Thing ), even terrors that are beyond our comprehension ( From Beyond ). But at week's end, terrors are tuned to tenors as I present a vicious venue of horror musicals, including the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
I haven't gotten all the way through the end of the month yet, but there will be even more scares ahead before the 31st!
IMPORTANT: How to View with Us!
I'll be putting the schedule up on Google Calendars, and I will be sending out invites to anyone who might be interested in watching what I have to offer!
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE send me a note with your e-mail address so I can send you invites. These are simple YES/NO/MAYBE format, so please give your honest answers to let me know if you're going to show up or not.
Once I've gotten the note, I'll add you to the mailing list and give you the password to access every one of my streams.
And when streaming time comes, I will (hopefully) post a journal saying I'm about to stream, along with the streaming address: https://www.tigerdile.com/stream/seasonalstreams
I've put a lot of confidence into this, so I hope I can get a lot of viewers this season!
