New house buzz! :D
So, we went to see the new house today. They signed the lease, and we were stopping by so that my mom and I, who hadn't seen it yet, could check out our new home.
I loved it! My new bedroom will be bigger than the one I have now, and omg, I get my own closet! This is a big thing for me. Literally everyone in my house uses MY closet for their storage needs. So when they need a coat at 7am and I'm sleeping they just barge into my room and get it. Or when my mom needs her bag, no matter the hour or what I'm doing, she ruffles through my closet looking for it. So glad I'm getting my own goddamn closet for once.
Also, there's 2 1/2 bathrooms, as opposed to the fucking 1 we have here. I'm so happy about this. But my grandpa had to fucking ruin it, because he's a goddamn douche bag. I guess we were supposed to be checking the house for things that were broken or for like holes and whatnot. And while we were upstairs, he was doing that in the kitchen. We come back down to him in his usual fucking "Ask me what's wrong so I can get openly pissed" state. Except he doesn't wait for us to ask. No.
"Where's the sheet?" (We were recording it on a sheet of paper the real estate people gave us.)
"I left it in the car. We didn't find anything wrong, so - "
"You never check anything! The back left burner on the stove doesn't work and the latch is broken on the sliding door!"
Then later he had a fit about the closet door in the master bedroom being off the track, which I noticed, but didn't say anything about because that's a simple problem you can FIX YOUR GODDAMN SELF.
So, grandma dinked around with the burner. It worked. She messed with the lock on the slider, which indeed was broken, but that doesn't matter anyway because those locks are meaningless and we're putting a stick behind the door anyway. He just had to act like he had some superior intellect and that us stupid women can't do a thing on our own. And then, because the world revolves around Floyd goddamn Funk, he said "I gotta get going." And so we had to leave.
Yeah.
I still like the house, though. Food adjacent, close to the mall, right by the skate deck, nice inside.
I can't wait to move! :3
