I really like creepier and fall themed adopts! Honestly I didn't even know about the first adopt (I might have been inactive when it was posted?) or else I woulda bid on it. And even though the 2nd adopt is badass I've already got a a beasty fire character. I'd personally say continue adoptober so long as it isn't too stressful and maybe make more journal updates of the adopts? I always check journals when I get online in the morning.

I should clarify (I was half asleep with the first one) by second I mean the 2nd mentioned which is the current adopt up for auction!

I can understand why it feels that way. I mean you are creating something you want others to enjoy as much as you do. But taste differs. Maybe it's also a tight money situation or people simply take too long to decide. What I would suggest, is to leave the adopts up for longer than just a day.

If you're doing 31 adopts, and some have niche or funky designs, they're going to be hit-or-miss in terms of popularity. Either don't worry about it or tone down the funkiness of some of them.

I will say I absolutely loved the design, however I just don't have the money for it. What money I do have is towards pre-planned ideas, food, etc. So consider me a half buy-in?

More importantly, if you want to continue you should. It'd be fun and it's not like they have to sell immediately. However if you think you can do more money doing other things or the stress is too much, maybe only do one or two a week instead? Also take opinion polls on what people like design-wise, so you can try and hit your audience better.

I really love your seeing your designs. I think they're absolutely gorgeous. I very much understand the feeling about wondering if anyone is even interested. I hate to say it but I think the adopt market has been over saturated and is on a decline.

That said since you seem to have had success so far perhaps extend the auctions. I personally missed the comfy sweater owl that I loved since the auction was so short and didn't see it until you had posted another. Maybe make each auction 3 days instead of 1? I feel like a 1 day auction is really short.

To answer your question though, I'm personally not interested in creepy adopts but I love the designs you have put out so far! I also tend to be suuuuuuuuuuper picky about buying them though.

Themed full body pieces do still seem very popular though. I see them filling up very quickly.

It also might help your visibility to post on this account about the adopts going up. Give people a heads-up from this account to head over to the other, as well as giving people a heads-up about the next incoming, or even better, a master list with strikethroughs on which are already done and over.
Then people have the opportunity to be able to save up money/prepare for the adopt on the one that they are looking for. Then, at the end, if you still have some left over, put out a last call about the remainders, or do some pieces featuring them. A little bit of constant contact with your customer/client base is never a bad thing. Just don't spam about it.

I personally did go on a buying spree of adopts but I've found enough characters I like. Now I am more interested in getting standard commissions of those adopts. Though this is only my case as I have limited funds, so I want said funds to go to that.

As for the creepier adopts, Id say maybe slow down to one a week? And I dont know if Id buy any as it would strongly (at least for me) depend on how the creepy is balanced with cute/sexy. Though again, this is just me and my situation. And my tastes are different than others so thats a factor too.

I really really liked it. I really wanted to get it but have to limit my buying in preparation for the hurricane. And i guess my comment saying how much i liked it never went through.

Personally, I loved many of the designs that you were coming up with -- both the boar and owl in particular! But when I know that more adopts are coming later that month, I get paralyzed with choice and indecision; I really like this adopt, but maybe I'll like others later this month even more? If I get these now, I won't have money to buy any others later in the month, etc.

I like the idea of keeping the adopts up for longer. What you might do is have the adopts run throughout October, or at least for many days, and have a very slight ($2-$5) discount on their prices during October, before slightly raising the prices after October, but keep them available until purchased/bid. This has the benefit of keeping the adopts up and visible, giving people some peace of mind if they have one they're on the fence about but want to compare it to one later on in the month; it also encourages people to buy a little sooner, with the discount.

And I'd love to get more full-body pictures from you, but I've got so many commissions from so many artists I'm waiting on and my funds for the month are pretty much at their "this is for food and nothing else" levels.

I wanted to add on to what Stray said as well, absolutely everyone is making more adopts than usual and everyone is spending a ton of money on adopts/comms, so in general there will be more hits and misses when considering that people can't spend all of their money on everyones adopts or in one place.

It's understandably frustrating though.
