how to get Shadows in SL?
first off, you will need Kirstens S18 viewer so that you may have high settings but still keep a good FPS, here is the site:
http://armyof4.com/Kirstenlee/Publi.....ewers/Windows/
it will be the last link shown in there
second, you will need to activate Advanced Menu, which can be done by pressing: CTRL+ALT+D
third, you need to go to Debug Settings within the main menu of Advanced
fourth, within its box, you must type and set these to true in order!!
RenderuseFBO (Set to True)
RenderDeferred (Set to True)

YOU MUST HAVE SL RUNNING IN HIGH OR ULTRA SETTINGS FOR IT TO WORK!!!!

Actually it works with the latest regular SL viewer as well.

not really. sl viewer detects drivers and blah blah so depending on the card it will automatically shutdown renderdeffered. you always need a non-LL viewer like emerald or openlife or heck the one he just mentioned. but about 2 years ago there was a secret viewer that had dynamic shadows already in place in sl.
