Intro
The Soljinnra are a desert dwelling race that lives together in large settlements, ruled under a monarchy. They use their special powers to survive in the harshness of the desert. Their skin always consists of two colours, one of them being white, and the other one being different between individuals.
Crystals
•The are all born with silver crystals that will change colour and develop a power as they get older, meaning that when they are young they all have silver eyes, insides and blood, all which change colour when their crystal does. The types of powers they can have vary, and it seems what they develop is entirely random.
•They all have parts of their white markings that will glow with the colour of their crystals whenever they use their powers, or whenever they experience high level of emotions (such as extreme joy or rage)
Horns
Their horns help to siphon energy from their crystals so that they can use their powers. Generally, the more horns they have the more powerful their power is. Their number of horns can vary between three different amounts.
•Eight horns is common
•Six horns is uncommon
•Ten horns is rare
They also can either have shoulder spikes, elbow spikes, or tail spikes, but the number of Soljinnra that have either of them seems mostly equal.
Eyes
•The third eye of the Soljinnra is actually the eye of the crystals, and so they cannot actually see through them. They can however process basic information from them.
•All Soljinnra have different eye markings. However, unlike their crystal colours, these markings seem to be hereditary and will be passed on to offspring.
•They also have long eye lashes for the same reason that camels do. It helps to keep the sand out of their eyes.
Lore
The Soljinnra did not always have their crystals. Many years ago their people moved to the underground through caves that they found, for the desert had become too harsh for them. It was then they discovered a race of sentient parasitic crystals, all which had amazing and strange powers in order to protect themselves. Both races had a desire to leave the underground, and so an agreement was made, and the parasites took host with the Soljinnra, using them for mobility so they could go to the surface, while the Soljinnra used their powers so they could survive the desert.
After many years of this symbiotic relationship, eventually the crystals and the Soljinnra became perfectly and permanently fused, so reliant on each other that even their young were being born together. Now they are both considered one species.~☆♡☆~
