Are you an approachable person?

In person I'm pretty shy and quiet because I tend to get social anxiety and I think that sometimes gives people the impression that I'm in a bad mood or not interested in them so they don't really seek out conversations with me. And online I'm usually pretty busy, so sometimes I can't really carry on very good conversations with people. Truthfully it just takes time for me to warm up to others. The whole anxiety thing is an issue I've been tryin to work on @u@

Why did you picked that name for yourself?

HAHA funny story, actually.

I made the character back in the 8th grade. Around the time we were heavy into WW2 stuff and we learned about Eva Braun (at the time me and my friends thought it was pronounced Ee-va instead of A-va) and I really liked the sound of Ee-va but I wanted something in front of it. Went through a list of letters I could add, Keva, Deva, Teva etc. I ended up with Reva cause I thought it sounded the prettiest. Diehard was from an older Trigun fancharacter named Dracina Diehard (cause I was and still am a huge fan of alliteration) and swiped it from her. But Diehard itself I got from the auto company because I saw one of my dad's car batteries lying around once and thought Diehard was really cool for a name lol.

Don't know why, but I find this a really cool tidbit to learn. It's funny where inspiration comes from!

What's your weirdest fetish.

UH. It really depends on how you define weird I guess. Cause I do occasionally like rape/rough sex/choking but I'm also a fan of the Nezumi/RRL style of blown out prolapse bits. There's also bestiality, the candy gore (tho that's kinda not so much a fetish since it doesn't really turn me on *that* much) and puffy/hyperesque anuses.

I'm not really ashamed TBH. You're a very good customer and you've always treated me well. I just don't appreciate that negative comments I get from people because of what I draw for you. But that comes with the territory I suppose. I've been told to kill myself on stuff tamer than snuff porn lmao.

Are there any commissioners/characters who you’ve worked with before that you loved drawing(for)? Like, ones that you get excited just thinking about drawing for again. If so, who!

That's a pretty good question. I enjoy drawing stuff for   shalkaii , mostly cause I've been working for him since I started out on FA and I'm pretty familiar with the kinda stuff he likes. I also enjoy working for   Vincent though I feel pressured at times cause his anatomy and stuff is always so good and I feel like mine is inferior in comparison ;u; Though honestly, the people who commission me to draw my characters doin lewds is usually pretty exciting lol. It's pretty rare when someone likes your character enough to want to commission porn of them so it's exciting and flattering :D

Do you feel you generally do better or worse drawing things that align with your own interests (either kinks or general interests)? Or is it not even a factor most times?

Hmm.. I would say sometimes I do better with things that I enjoy drawing but I think for the most part it's not really a factor. Like, I think it mostly comes down to the difficulty of the poses or pleasing the customer. You could commission me to draw my favorite fetish of all time, but if the pose/concept is difficult and/or the customer becomes difficult to work for, then it makes the whole process harder for me and I'll probably tend to do worse than working for someone who gives me free reign or I end up busting out an amazing sketch that I'm super pleased with lol. Hope that makes sense?

What part of the artistic process do you enjoy most, and which seems the most tedious/boring to you personally?

I really enjoy coloring. I would say I enjoy sketching but it can be pretty frustrating at times if I can't get the idea I want down. Inking is def the worst part, I've procrastinated pretty bad on commissions before because I didn't want to ink them lol.

The other day you mentioned on twitter, you mentioned not wanting to draw some fetishes because they didn’t interest you, yet you would have to because they paid the bills. For future commissioners unsure of what to acquire, what ARE some of your favorite and most comfortable things to draw? I myself don’t really know your ideal kinks to draw, and I’m always interested in commissioning artists on a kink-by-kink basis

I like drawing fat/chubby chicks as well as muscular body types. That's why most of my femboys tend to be more toned. I enjoy doing Nezumi style bits (like, detailed assholes/cooches, more used looks) as well as the donut style assholes. Idk, drawing butts is fun though I know a lot of people don't like that kinda stuff. Things where I get to mess with the weight of the character, like the squish of their stomach or the thickness of their thighs/ass, is pretty fun. Other than that, candy gore stuff is on the top of my list of fave things to draw, though I'm getting burned out on the more hardcore/snuff types of gore. I'm more of a fan of consensual gore lol.

You draw a lot of unusual fetishes, so I have to ask, are there any of the fetishes you draw, which are stuff you'd do in real life, not just as art(like bestiality or non-con stuff)? Or are you a pretty vanilla person in real life?

I'm fairly vanilla. The most extreme we do is choking and a while ago I was dabbling in pussy pumping.

Why go with a hippo?

My sona was originally a wolf but if I remember correctly I made her a hippo as a jab at my own body since I'm fat :V And idk, it kinda stuck. I changed her from a nile hippo to a pygmy hippo when I realized I really liked size play and that's what she's been ever since.

When given a commission, With a basic pose and body positioning; How do you translate the image in your head to the page? Where do you start? What's your usual creative process?

hmm.. I'll pretty much start with the head, do a rough of the expression and work down from there. I keep things pretty loose as I work. I don't really thumbnail stuff, the pose pretty much comes to me as I go.

So, as an example, if someone gives me an idea like 'I want a pinup' I start with the head, put in a rough idea of what I want the expression to be, work down to the torso, shoulders and then all the limbs. Again, I keep everything pretty loose so if I'm drawing a leg and decide 'I don't like it, it would look cuter if it was pulled up' then I can change it pretty easily. Same goes for the arms and hands and even the expression.

Yea, usually more so with body image stuff. Like, there's a lot of buff women on instagram that I follow who have rockin bods and I'm just like 'damn I wish it were me'

What kind of shark is your favorite? Or alternatively, what is your favorite bird?

I really like great whites cause they make the best bara bois. And my favorite bird is tough. I like chickens but I'm also very fond of king vultures and southern ground hornbills

Great whites, are cool, yeah. My favorite has to be the Thresher because of its tail, and they make really interesting designs. Favorite bird for me is either a peacock or ruby-throated hummingbird though.

Looking back, what were the things from your childhood that 'awakened' something in you; your kinks I mean. Rather, where did you develop your fetish tastes.

As a follow up, who/what were your biggest artistic inspirations starting out, and who are they now?

I'm not sure for all of my fetishes but there's a couple fetishes in particular where I think I know where I was 'awakened' lol. I just don't wanna mention here because they are pretty embarrassing.

Starting out, I really loved Akira Toriyama. Dragonball Z was a huge inspiration to me when I was getting serious about drawing. After that I become inspired by Tite Kubo who did Bleach and I'd like to think a lot of my current style comes from. Nezumi is a huge porn inspiration.

I think Akira was a large inspiration for a lot of artists back when his properties were at their height. I recall mimicking dragon ball z's style a lot in middle school.

As a hippo, do you prefer to spend more time on land or in the water?

Hm good question. Personally, irl, I'm pretty scared of deep open water (and also brain eating amoeba) but as far as Reva goes I'd like to think she enjoys spending time in the water but doesn't get much time to chill in it.

Oh yeah that fresh water is full of scary things. I get pretty spooked diving over drop offs and where you can't see the bottom.

The idea of a land locked hippo girl is kind of funny : )
