Hocus Pocus is a classic. It's not scary, but it's charming.

I save nightmare before christmas for xmas since there arent many xmas movies i like haha

fair enough lol. Frankenweenie, Igor, and Corpse bride are also good cutesy ones along those lines as well.

Session 9, the Ginger Snaps trilogy, Evil Dead trilogy, American Werewolf in London, the classic Universal Monsters flicks, The Cell (though it's not entirely a horror film), The VHS series (though some are pretty weak), Event Horizon... I could go on and on!

I'll have to check some of these out. I really liked VHS1/2 and other found footage films.

SAW. Just the first one.

I had to hide my eyes a few times, but I really liked SAW.. and I'll admit I liked all the bad sequels too haha. I have a thing for bad horror movies I guess

I suppose Beetlejuice is a good one too!

Hocus Pocus is probably my favorite but.. I do always end up watching the Halloweentown movies as well, just for nostalgia's sake.

Hocus Pocus, Sleepy Hollow, Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Young Frankenstein, Jeepers Creepers, Jeepers Creepers 2, The Howling, The Howling 2 (probably one of the best bad movies ever made imo), Fright Night (1985), Monster Squad, Van Helsing, The Night Stalker (1972) and the other Kolchak movie and the tv series, Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat, and I more that aren't immediately coming to mind too (I have a pretty extensive list of movies for this time of year =).

Does childs play stand up watching as an adult? I assumed it had a cult following from kids who saw it when it was first out. I wasn't allowed to watch any horror as a kid/teen so a lot of the genre is new to me.

I'll check these out! I just watched the old The House on Haunted Hill the other day, its really fun but the old-fashioned sexism distracts me. Why do the women only scream and do nothing like a fainting goat? haha
