Afyer looking n seeing how other artists do it..
Feel like i should try again. Maybe to fund my comics n animation stuff?

I'd go for it!
busiest. I read from someone elses journal about an artist doing both and he ended up suffering from stress and pressure from the demand on both sides. He had to quit a Patreon comic to get commissioned comics and art started and finished.
Patreon has to be updated constantly but thats also if there is anyone attending to it.
Commissions you can work at your own pace and time. You get paid more depending on which one pays you more, Patreon or Commissions.
So those your the options and I say, if you got enough Patreons, then go fur it.
You would have to post posters and flyers and reminders and such. Do updates on Twitter if you have a decent follow there.
Ive seen artists draw a fresh Patreon flyer at least twice a month or so to remind everyone there is a Patreon but not bugging too much about it. What furs hate the most is showing a drawing and censoring it, pushing watchers to go get it if they want to see it. Yeah that would get the mad lol. So just doing a poster and have it be a Patreon flyer style to it would work but over time have to wait for them to join.
So i guess do it if you think you can get a decent amount of followers. If it dont work, stick with commissions and see what makes you the better bling.
I was asked, how come i dont do Patreon. I told him I do better doing Commissions than to constantly updating it. If i cant update it due to my health, i would fall behind and people would leave. If they dont see product always updating, they will pause or cancel. They may come back again but updates will keep the buddies happy.
Good luck! I hope it works out for you.
Oh and if you are looking for cleaner and better lines for your art, just use SAI or SAI 2. If you have it, use it on your sketching and outlining. It will make your lines more precise and clean .
Theres a torrent for it if you dont have it. The license is forever so it only costs $60. If you lose it, you just go on the site and fill out the section to get the license. Its real easy to recover so no worries if you end up formattin windows for whatever reason and thinking about the license.
May your nipples erect and provide good wifi
also manga studio has a line stabilizer thing ive been using heh it helps a lot with the cleanliness. now its mostly just posing, anatomy, and lighting i need to work on. hah
