Seeing as I have gotten a few from time to time for a while now, It's about time I write this up:

normally I don't really want to do them, mainly this is because I don't really feel like it nor do I really want to. its not anything personal mind you, just that some people like to skirt by commisions and greedily get art for free, and once they do they begin to pester the artist to keep doing more and more and more with the expectation that they are always going to just draw it for them no questions asked. if their is a simple response of "No, I do not want to because it goes against my morals, It's a subject matter I dislike, it's unfair that I do this work without pay/recieving something in return all the time, etc." they only keep harrassing until someone gets blocked and everyones moods are soured.

thankfully this has yet to happen to me, though I have done quite a few so far, everyone has been respectful and nearly every time i've WANTED to do the request. the reason I have is simply because I need the practice, and changing up the subject/character for someone else forces me to have to learn and improve my knowledge in making the character/subject look good for someone else, as well as the request being something I'm comfortable with doing while also not making me feel guilty for charging money for what I personally do not feel is always my best work as it is largely practice.

I hope this helps clear up my stance on requests a bit.
