In the aftermath of the storm

So Maria happened and it was quite a monster of a storm. The island hasn't seen a storm this bad since 1928. This was a truly devastating storm.
But I am doing fine, I didn't suffer any injury or damages to my home beyond a few displaced roof shingles and my TV antenna is displaced from the hinge. My house did get flooded but it was because our drains were clogged so the water accumulated above us and it seeped through the cable outlets, fortunately we had a neighbor unclog the drains. But beyond some water damage nothing else happened that I think was that significant. A lot of non-palm trees were uprooted and fell although none on any houses (that was my biggest worry for my house that a palm tree would fall on my house). Everyone around me also is fine and well and my family I believe are all fine without any major damage or injury.
Of course the island itself is in a horrible shape and that was before any hurricane hit us. My biggest need is of electric power since I am here on generator power provided by the electric company, I was gonna wait till I had full power but I kinda want to know what has been going on. Also because of generator power I also only have water for half a day because the pumps are being run by generator and to save on fuel they shut down during the low use periods (also maybe CNN has reported that the water I have might be considered to come from a chemically unsafe source by the EPA supposedly).
But yeah a lot of people are in a very bad spot so I can't be complaining too much. But I do hope things get back to some semblance of normal because I know things won't be like before, for better or worse.
I would really like to hear from you and how have you been doing for the past several weeks and if maybe you have any questions.
