Which of your characters is more like you?

Renard is supposed to be me, basically, with about 500+ pounds of muscle and a tail. Though, coincidentally enough, Theo and Victor are a lot like me, just different parts of me. I sort of accidentally fell into a classic Freudian trio, with Renard as the ego, Theo as the id, and Victor as the superego, the former being my libido in a fancy outfit and the latter being things I would like to be; strong, heroic, charming, etc.

To your characters: what the one thing you want to change from each other?

I'm going to field this, because surprisingly, Theo and Victor don't interact too much. But, I know both of them would prefer I would loosen up a bit more; for Victor this means letting my hair down, maybe joining him in the club scene, and for Theo, this means letting him "work" on me. The former is much more likely than the latter, and I already hate going to clubs.

I'm guessing their they types that would barge in when you are trying to relax and have a nice evening, or morning whichever, and drag you along to any of their adventures?

Would you ever consider another Choose Path story like Strength Like A Thousand Men?

Sure! But I'd need a really good idea for it, first. I tried something similar with my character Victor, but I've gotten so distracted by other projects, it's sort of fallen by the wayside. If I did, it might end up as high fantasy again, but I'd want it to have a very different feel from SoaTM.

To Theo... sometimes it's better to ask forgiveness than permission, but one should keep in mind the repercussions.
Given how... possessive you are of your projects, what sort of repercussions might a foreign cheshire expect to face should they... borrow Renard without permission? Would the retaliation be immediate or with careful research and deliberation? And most importantly, should the slight be made for the most honorable of reasons, would you forgive and forget?

Theo: My dear Mr. Mahir, whatever gave you the idea that I am possessive? My clients are not my property, perish the thought! Art, after all, is meant to be shared and viewed by all. However, I do hate seeing art defaced, and I have risen my clients to near-perfect levels. If another were to add to my designs, I would tolerate it. These things are easily repaired, if a less refined hand were to embellish on my work. But those that subvert, ruin, or otherwise reverse my improvements, well. I'm a patient man. I can wait to give a proper lesson.

How often does Victor have to go demon hunting or fighting off demonic forces?

Victor: Oh, gosh, well, it's my 9 to 5, ain't it? The Guild hired me to do one thing, and that's punch and/or set evil things on fire. Don't get me wrong, it's not all demons. Sometimes it's aliens, but it's usually demons- I get a li'l excited, because I see a big one, I know it's gonna make a nice trophy, with all those badass horns and shit. My trophy room's getting kinda full, actually. You could say, heh. I have one Hell of a collection.

...Boo. *throws a tomato* Examples of what you've got in that collection?

Victor: Hah, nice try, but that's strictly confidential. Unless, y'know, someone gets me outrageously drunk. And even then, it'd only be the stuff from the less fucked up circles of Hell.

Oh. Well in that case, it's probably better I don't know...

To All: FAVORITE TV SHOWS

Myself: I am terrible at choosing this stuff. So, ones that pop into my head- favorite sitcom: Frasier, favorite animated show: Avatar the Last Airbender, favorite drama: tie between HBO's Rome and Turn: Washington's Spies. Honorable mentions to Game of Thrones and Gargoyles.
Victor: Oh, shit, you ever see X-Files? I love that show. The guys at The Guild and me have marathons. We have a drinking game where we take a shot every time they get something wrong. But I still think Scully's a total babe. But, uh, if you don't go spreading it around... I might have a small, real small, guilty pleasure in, ah. Downton Abbey. Just don't go spreadin' that around, or I'll put you in a headlock.
Theo: I much prefer the theater to the idiot box, but I have been known to indulge in some mindless entertainment from time to time... professional wrestling around the time Mr. Vince McMahon came on the scene was of a particular interest.

Theo can bake, in that he can just magically summon whatever he wants, Victor burns anything he tries to cook, and Renard is on the level of baking the pre-cut pillsbury cookies and sticking them in the oven.

We all, however, have a weakness for strawberry.

-What's your type? As in what kind of guys do you like?
-What artists inspired you to pursue becoming a muscle artist?

Well, I like both guys and gals, but strictly talking guys? I like 'em big and strong. I really, really like them big and strong. Beyond that, I prefer a clean-cut look, something classic. Personality wise, I love anyone that can make me laugh, and I'm big on affection with those I'm particularly close to.

And if you're referring to when I -did- draw? One artist I took a lot from is no longer around, as far as I know, but two friends I remember encouraging me a lot were  connercoon and  broadsword for what it's worth. For my writing, well, I didn't really take all that much from furry writers, though  wolfgonewide's dry wit makes for a very enjoyable read, and early on, my friend  nocturne definitely influenced my writing style for muscle stories. Most of my "normal" writing influence comes from C.S. Lewis, David Eddings, and JK Rowling, all known for being snarky, because I myself am a very snarky asshole.

Theo, what would you think is your best work or piece of work by far?

Ren, do you think that your relationship with Theo is a... Pleasant one?

Theo: Oh dear, that would be like choosing between my children. Some do stand out, but it would take a long story, say, a compilation of fifteen illustrated stories to tell everything.
Myself: My relationship with Theo is kind of like the sun. I can appreciate what he does, but I don't want to look at him, and he's best appreciated from a long, long distance.

Victor: What's the first thing you see or look at when someone catches your eye?

Victor: Well, damn. I'm sorry to ruin the romantic illusion, but my head's turned easily by someone with a rockin' bod. But I also like listening to people. If someone's got a good story to tell, I usually tune in pretty quickly.

To Renard: How often do you visit the tailor to adjust your suits to your ever-growing size of muscularity?
To Victor: You seem to be the type to wear more revealing clothing than Renard, is this true? if so, what's the smallest bit of clothing you ever wore?
To Theo: what's your favorite method of enlarging your clients/victims, whether it's through fat or muscle?

Renard: Despite popular opinion, I don't hulk out -that- much. But I do have an open account at Men's Warehouse, just in case.
Victor: Hah, yeah, I'd say that's a fair assumption. I like showing off, it's a curse. One time I lost a bet with a guy I was seeing, and he got me in a G-string. I fuckin' rocked the look, of course.
Theo: Ah, I have a lot of weapons in my arsenal, but sometimes, the elegant, efficient course is best. A little dash of some of my special cordial can do wonders for my clients.

To the human behind the characters: if your OCs and sona are based on your Freudian Trio, if it was like Pixar's Inside Out. then who would be what in terms of emotion representation? Or are they all Renard in different hues of color?

To Renard: Since you're a hybrid of wolf and lion, do you show any tendencies seen in both the canine and feline species, such wagging your tail in excitement, licking your paw to clean your head, etc?

To Victor: Do you consume more food than the average meathead/bodybuilder to help feed the demon inside you? and does the demon or you yourself enjoy the feeling of the pump from lifting in the gym, like Arnold Schwarzenegger described in Pumping Iron?

To Theo: Would you prefer your works of art to be censored with clothing or presented in all of it's full uncovered glory?

I mean, based on the five emotions, neither Theo or Victor really fits them. Despite his, ah, fiery disposition, Victor is not a particularly angry person, and Theo is more just wanton lust dressed up in very nice clothes. And the way I picture Renard doesn't have outright animalistic tendencies, more an evolution of it- instead of licking his paw, he's just very fastidious with his hygiene, and his tail may wag, he'll actively stop it out of embarrassment, depending on the situation.

The other two are a bit too lewd for this journal, at least, so I'll bow out there.

When does fat become too fat for you?

I'd say that it's immobility or blobs, but that's not entirely true. I like some blobs, but there's a limit, a certain trend where they can't move their limbs anymore and their bellies stretch out to this oblong shape that it stops being good for me.

To Theo: As art is a major driving point for you, do you have any artists that inspire your work? Of course, this definition of art doesn't have to be conventional, and you may include whomever or whatever you wish as an answer. And if I may indulge my curiosity a little more, what is your favorite style of art? The study of a more chiseled agglomeration of shapes, or the study of spheres?

Theo: I can certainly appreciate the work of Michelangelo, as he and I certainly shared similar ideals about an ideal male form, though he did leave something to be desired as far as the female body is concerned. It is rather obvious he was interested in the former much more than the latter. Thus, Rubens is a good counterpoint. But, if we're going into the unconventional, surely, any bodybuilder is an artist, sculpting their body into an extraordinary form. Sticking to the strictest definition, however, I do favor the more ornate styles, such as baroque and rococo.

Renard: Given your distaste for Theo's methods, would you prefer bulking up through more traditional means? Follow up question, need a half ton workout buddy?

Victor: Hey, Slim, we haven't heard much about your body's other tennant. How is Harvey doing?

Theo: Does being timeless and ageless make it difficult to understand mortals' points of view?

Myself: I would actually love a workout partner, especially if it's one that, shall we say, enhances the atmosphere. But, as much as I hate to admit it, Theo's methods are... effective. Much like carpetbombing a house is effective at getting rid of a termite infestation, but still.
Victor: Hah, watch who you're calling Slim, Spots. It's my bulking season, and you're gonna be left in the dust. Azazel is pretty chill these days, so long as I keep fighting baddies. He doesn't mind fighting his own, surprisingly, just so long as I keep the fight going for a good minute or so. Probably to give 'em a sporting chance.
Theo: Oh, terribly so. I have never understood why my clients are always so shocked and surprised, sometimes even dismayed, at me appearing. Surely, aren't I like the fairy godmother they had been waiting for since they were children?

Has Theo ever worked with clients with special "talents" (such has sizeshifting or shapeshifting, or other common superpowers). I'm curious as to how he'd interact with someone who can radically augment their own height/size (but not their strength/body mass).

Also, is he familiar with the Palamani empire?

Theo: Oh, I have several colleagues and associates that have such talents, certainly. I myself have such affinities. But, where is the challenge in working on someone that can so easily change themselves? I may try to nudge their opinion a certain way, but it isn't nearly as fun as someone who can't undo my work with a snap of their fingers. Consider it an insurance policy; my works of art are meant to last.

And the Palamani are terribly lovely to look at, but they make awful conversationalists. I daresay that Jidou does things to their minds.

Last question: What's your ideal "medium", as in... the kind of client you would get the most excitement working with (for example someone scrawny but ambitious or the already impressive figure who is a bit squeamish about his size)?

I personally find it more impressive when someone who was quite scrawny becomes massive over someone who was already robust being augmented. But then again, Theo seems like kind of person who would claim "perfection" isn't good enough for him.

how can i get as buff and strong as you ren?

Renard: What are the perks being a pretty unique hybrid? And What is the most you can lift at once?
