Not really a political discussion on it, but I think it's hillarious looking at it's history how far it's gotten away from it's creator's original intent.
Putting myself in the creator's shoes though I can fully empathize with his sense of horror and why he is futilely trying to get lawyers to help him salvage his creation. I mean what if I woke up from a coma 10 years later and suddenly Stheno was a mascot for curves/planet fitness and was being used to promote "body positivity" and "healthy at ANY size"? I am torn between being completely aghast and laughing my ass off imagining that.

FA+

Well his way of living is healthy...from his point of view.
And those that he infects xD
And the creator had no issue with it. Only when the ADL stepped in along with the DNC, labeling it as a racist symbol, people were using it in that way ironically to spite them. Then Furie decided to kill off the character for no reason. Pepe no longer belonged to him "internet wise" it became something alot bigger and despite him making it, it has become much more and the way he went about it also didn't help his case. In short, he kind of killed his golden goose. He let the PC police control what his creation was. And imstead of going against them, went against the ones who enjoyed his creation.
It sucks yes, and I feel for that but the way he went about it was completely wrong.XD
But, at least it serves as a cautionary tale, and now Pepe is shorthand for people to ignore.
