A character I had for nearly a year, a character I loved dearly and was very attached to who I bought off someone on FA for $20 was a scam. I had watched them floating around on sale for over a week before finally deciding to buy them. I received all the art, done deal. The art was low res but I thought nothing of this of the time.

A friend of mine noted me today and told me someone uploaded a commissioned piece of the same character to their gallery. This was the *actual* owner of the oc who never sold them in the first place.

Needless to say, one of my mains who I drew a lot of art for and commissioned art for... Isn't even mine. The actual owner was really upset about this as well and even offered to pay me back what I bought the character for So I think I'll give them the art I drew bc they're nice but it's just.,, painful, you know??? This character floating around in my head world is just........ Gone now.
I'll be keeping proof of ocs i buy from now on...
Idk I just had to vent about this bc it still hurts. Be careful buying ocs out there, guys,,
