Where did all the great giants go? Are they really so great?

They're leaving us because they are..too self deprecating to understand that their works are appreciated whether they're the focus or not--they have no love for what they do therefore see no reason to stay.
That or there's some other uncalled for situation such as "I want to start over" or "I don't want someone to know about what I do." in which their decision is directly influenced by those peers that passes to them these 'uncalled for' emotions.
They run and expect to find a way out when what's making them run is always existing and then they realize that they're on a never ending journey that can't possibly end well..So why do it, right? Why leave behind all the things you've worked so hard to keep only to erase it all and pack your bags and find that exit to safety?
There's so very many artists that i've run into who believe that they have no true direction with their art so they either QUIT (only to come back, whimpering that they've made a mistake and expect lash from their peers) or rely on what their peers want out of them and then wonder why they have no ideas of their own--no inspiration.
Don't run--hang around, calm down and THINK about how to sate a situation rather than leaving it to fester and become such a detriment that you can't do what you wanted to previously prior the incident. Personally, I draw whatever I feel like! Even when it comes to commissions--I HATE the idea of living off of my art work THROUGH commissions because it removes the freedom of drawing what I want and changes it into--GET THIS..A JOB--A chore! That sounds fuakkin disgusting to me.
If someone feels like---FUAK IT!
I'm done--WHATEVER! gonna draw to calm mah SHET!

I've more than been through this and came back(speaking from experience).
It's so much easier to avoid and ignore people and problems online, and so that's what many choose to do.
What's right and what's difficult have become the same thing.
Plus we've all got different capacity for dealing with stuff, so I implore you not to look down on other peeps that may not be able to handle it as well as you. Who knows! But I do agree with your position on drawing for a living. No thanks, hobbies rule!
