Preserving bones
I know there's a few craftsmen and women watching me, does anyone have any tips on preserving bones that have been cooked? I have like, almost a whole pig's worth of bones sitting in a bucket of water right now for cleaning (they kinda smell like rot and bbq sauce). These bones have been cooked, and I worry about their suitability for craft purposes. Does that make them overly brittle or should I not worry about it? If so is there something I can treat them with or paint over them to try to negate that some?

They probably have some marrow in them, I'll go ahead and macerate them instead of boiling. They've already been cooked, like I said.
I've been asking Santa for that for the last, like... seven Christmases.
What are you going to make with your pig bones?
Unfortunatly cooked bones are not the best for crafting with. Idealy you'd want fresh bones that have been sun-bleached and dried. You can sometimes get fresh bones from a butcher shop or slaughter house, though you may likely have to deal with them haveing a few cutmarks on them.
