Some pointers on buying a fursuit

Hi guys! Just doing a small journal based on my journey to getting a fursuit!
So, I decided after a few cons and trying on a partial that I wanted a suit. I decided to choose Lemonbrat since I had bought items from them before, and they have been high quality. If you decide to get a fursuit, do some research first! You want a reputable maker. Make sure to do a Duct Tape Dummy (DtD) to get a better measurement of your body. If you are unsure of a certain measurement that the fursuit maker asks for, ask them to specify, and round up in terms of sizing, not down. Your body might fill out more over time, and its better to have a suit that is looser for things like cooling vests than a suit that is practically skin tight!
If I were you, I would do a payment plan and not pay out all at once for the suit, just so you don't go all in if they flake out. Don't be afraid to chat with the fursuit maker, and give them details you think may be relevant. Even AFTER you get your suit, make sure to do a follow up email- mine came out a little tight and LB has been really good about getting back to me on any questions I have. Overall, I can't wait for cons this year, and couldn't be happier with my suit. Hope this helps potential buyers!
