Also looking for the opportunity to commission you, buying art from artists whose styles I really enjoy does make me happier. I can't always commission people though because of life things but if i have spare cash to afford it, that makes me feel better.

I'm really sorry about that. I'm still looking for work so I can start refunding commissions, but drawing for money was completely killing art for me. Making people happy is more important than making money.

Yeah, when I first started feeling like an artist my only goal (and I know this is kind of a silly goal) was to become the best free furry artist, but after I started doing commissions that dream kind of died and it just became about making money. Now that I've decided on doing art for fun again I can just focus on making people happy and enjoying art rather than worrying about weather or not the next commission will be good enough

This is inspiring to hear! I feel the same way honestly and already plan to close up shop myself. I have been drawing commissions and art for other people for over 10 years. Now that I’m more financially stable, I plan to drop/no longer accept commission work and to draw for myself instead. Maybe do a study of clothing and build up my Oc and other characters.

That's awesome! I kind of always knew that art as a job was killing the enjoyment for me, but I didn't want it to be true so I could do it as a living, but when it got to the point where I'd only pick up my pen once every month or so at best I knew something HAD to be changed.

In the end I'd much rather draw just to make people happy, rather than for money. It's much more rewarding that way

I couldn’t agree more! Maybe it’s just me but my commission style and my personal styles are on two completely different levels! I would pump 10-30 hours into a commission and hate the end result... But a quick sketch to share with friends privately makes me feel over the moon! Commission work ends up way to ridgid, making the art seem flatter somehow. Where as my own personal art tends to almost pop off the page looking plump and organic. I love my personal work so much more, and I think that I’m going to be happier in the long run closing commissions.

Thanks~ I really hated how rarely I was drawing, I just want to get back into the swing of things, when I was releasing a new pic at least every week. I also really miss making funny doodles and jokes. I'm finally really excited to draw every day, rather than worried or stressed

I get what you mean by this, commissions are super stressful for me so since I started a webcomic and it's just got progressively worse, so I do them really sparingly now. But I do sketches for people online for free since they're always really fun to do, especially when it's something new.
So would you ever be up for doing an art trade or something similar? If not I would still love the permission to draw your character. Cock tongues have always intrigued me, but I've never really drawn it before, so that would give me the excuse XD.

I'd be up for a trade sometime, but I don't want to make any promises atm because I'm working on 2 pics atm and I don't want to extend my reach too much, so I'll try and remember to get back to you once I'm a little more freed up
