2018 Con Schedule and End-of-Raffle Stuff
7 years ago
Let's start 2018 off right: With statistics! The 2017 Holiday Raffle (which is now closed) had 84 entrants. I produced 8 art posts using 14 of those entrants' characters. That's a win-rate of 17%, which isn't too shabby! I didn't quite get to do all the pieces I wanted, but I gotta start concentrating on real-life again. These raffles are always a fun way to push myself into drawing characters and situations that I normally wouldn't do, and give back to my watchers in the process. So I want to thank everybody who entered for offering themselves up, and especially for being level-headed and understanding about the process; So much so that I can say this raffle was totally, 100% drama-free!
My usual two conventions are a lock for this year, namely Further Confusion in January in San Jose, and Biggest Little FurCon in May in Reno. This leaves my year pretty front-loaded with cons, so I'm on the lookout for another one to go to, ideally in late summer or autumn. I'm not really keen to try to go to AnthroCon (getting good hotel and flights seems like an impossible task). Anybody got some options for me to consider?

Q3/Q4 cons feel like they're oddly sparse. Maybe Megaplex if you can tolerate Orlando in August? Or go baller with an overseas trip to Eurofurence.
However, that's way at the END of the year.
