Tiny update
Since I've been very silent, I figured I should at least give a little journal update on stuff here.
But yeah, I should address the inactivity first, I guess. Certainly it hasn't been unusual for me to take breaks of a month or two in the past. Typically this would happen when I felt my art was getting stale or repetitive, but after a healthy break I'd return with some fresh new perspective. This doesn't seem to be happening this time, and I'm increasingly disappointed with what comes out when I do try to draw. Dunno what to do about that. I probably need to force myself to practice doodling, even just quick rough things, every day.
In better news, my cat Twix (one of the two adoptees I mentioned in my last journal, nearly a year ago) has finally overcome a long battle with a disease called FIP. This is a fairly new disease, a coronavirus that attacks the feline nervous system, and is nearly always fatal if left untreated. On top of that, while there are treatments, none of them have been approved by the FDA in the US, so to get them you have to go to weird gray (and less-than-gray) markets. But! After two long, LONG rounds of treatments, she is finally clear of all symptoms and does not appear to be relapsing.
One last bit of news (and I'm going to be very vague about this) is positive. Job good! It's been exciting to be part of the foundation of a new small company, especially one that's starting to look like it could have a bright future.

Friendly ribbing aside I'm sorry you can;t get the fire burning. Once, my burnout lasted over two full months. TWO! :I It finally kick-started when I drew Lacie, my femboy Glaceon. So it'll come back to you, just gotta wait.
Creativity is a hideous bitch-goddess.
So happy for you!
Just hope you're ablw to overcome the feeling of feeling disappointed with your art.
Your stuff is really good! Always love seeing your stuff come through my feed.
Keep it going! <3
I am starting on my daily doodle regimen, but I'm not posting anything publicly yet, just to keep the pressure low. But first one -- pretty good!
I'm glad to hear that Twix is doing okay however, and that you feel happy at your new job. :)
Glad to hear life in general is treating you well, may its generosity continue!
Maybe it's time for Strip High/Low Omaha? XD I don't think ANYONE understands that game.
"I don't know, but I'm having fun doing it!"
I would recommend Strip Parcheesi, but games might take too long :P
So glad kitty pulled through! It's always rough when one of our feline family is suffering.
And of course, yay on the job :)
