okay so.. honestly i didn't wonna put this out there as there isn't much that can be done...
i went to the vet today with my cat to get her yearly vaccine.. and on the check-up i was told she has "rouse? on her heart" like a type of noise.. meaning she got a heart/muscle desease.. her muscle in the heart would continue to grow and thicken as it would be harder for her to pump the blood.. they told me to get a heart scan but thats honestly way too expensive and out my budget... NO i'm not asking for anything because the sad thing is.. even IF i did get the scan.. there wouldn't be much that can be done T_T.. it would only give a estimate of how much longer she'd have.. -sigh- i wish there was something i could do.. i really don't wonna lose my cat i love her way too much.. and she is only 2yrs old (well almost).

just hope for wishes and prayers that she still may have many years to live happily with me, thats all i'm asking for Q_Q

Euthanasia is difficult to deal with, I've had to do it 3 times in the last 2 years for elderly cats, one wasn't super elderly but ill. Her hear will eventually give out and more problems will happen to cause her pain or weakness and you might want to prepare yourself for that. Ending that suffering when the time is right is cheaper, more humane and just an option.
Finding ways to keep her healthy and maybe slow down the process, is something you can research online with her condition. Get all the info you can, see what you can do to minimize it. That type of situation will eventually cause her end and really there is nothing you can truly do without the funds that may only extend her life a few more years.
Don't let her suffer, you might have to let kitty go.. do what's best for her. Despite how you might feel and want to hang on longer. You can for a short time, just watch for the signs that she's struggling then make your decision. Life happens, sometimes... not in the best way.
yeah euthanasia is out of hte questions for now really, she still seems fine its just so upsetting to hear the news you know?
but if the time is there and she does need it, i'll sadly have to give in and make her more comfy then have her suffer in pain :( thats the last thing i want.
yeah i'll have to do alot of research even though the vet did say nothing can be done.. maybe there is a glimmer of hope out there to somewhat extend her life.
yeah, i honestly don't wonna let my cat Mimi go.. but if the time is there and i have too... then i'll take the step no matter how painfull it might be :( its just the first time i got a indoor cat.. all my other cats used to be outdoors and when it was their time they just "dissapeared" which is a whole different kind of feeling then knowing for a fact u'll have to face ur cats dead someday.. i mean when they dissapear u can be like "oh they found a new famillie.." or "hit by a car" or things like that, its just speculation but yeah.. that uncertainty won't be the case with Mimi once her time is there :( indeed life does happen and not always in a good way.. i just don't want any animals to suffer... i seen one cat suffer before and had to let him sleep in (wasn't my cat but my father-in-law who's house i'm living at didn't have the funds to go to the vet) and just see'ing that animal suffer so much hurted me already even though i didn't have a connection with it u know? and when i finally gotten my moneyz from my job it was too late to save the poor thing after suffering for days.. so i took it upon me to let it sleep in :( cuz otherwise it wud've kept suffering as honestly the owner didn't seem to care too much (or thats what he showd as feeling maybe cuz he just cudn't afford it but even so.. its too cruell really)
sorry i keep talking ;w; but yeah i hope our pets, yours and mine may live a hopefully long and good life as best as we possible can make it for them u know?
-hugs tight-
The last kitty I had to have euthanized had a condition that literally put her in seizures about 5 times a day, vet worked with us and it's a neurological disorder she developed and common with feral cats. We couldn't control it, when it got to where it was 15 times a day and she was literally injuring herself I had to do what was best. It's not the best for us.. it's what's best for them. It sucks.. it was hard to do because she was being super cute and adorable on the way there but I had to. We have to put our own feelings aside. Research things that will make life better for her with her condition, types of food, types of exercise, what to do and not to do.. what she should stop eating or eat more of. You can make it easier for her overall. But just be careful and as I said, be prepared. We have one more cat, that may have the same issue. He's already had just one seizure and so far nothing more. It's a watch game and he's 14, we know that time may come like the others.
I've lost lots of cats and dogs during my life, and it's just how life is. All we can do is our best and that's what's best.
Keep your head up.
aawr :( yeah it must be hard already to just see those seizures and like not being able to do much about it.. i can sorta imagine it (as i sometimes see my boyfriend have his epileptic seizures and can't do much either, it sucks and is soo stressing)
but yeah when the time gets there we gotta do whats best for them and not us.. no matter how painfull and sad it is :(
i'll research to get her better foodz and such to make it overall easier for her.. i cannot control how some people treat her that live here though .. i feel that one person who lives with us (my sister-in-law) stresses her out alot cuz of how she treats cats but we have no control on that so i just hope we move out asap and can have her be in peace! which will also help alot i think.
but yeah a watch game is never fun :( i hope things better for your kitty too! but 14 is a nice age (my cats never passed 6yrs before but those where outdoor cats, as i prolly mentioned before this is my first indoor cat)
lost a cat, dog or any other animal, heck even a human friend of familly member, it is never fun it always hurts no matter what.. we just gotta make the best of it with the time we got with them.
and i'll try hun, you too -hugs tight-
and i'm sorry to hear hun :( hope the doggy didn't suffer too much
but yes maybe a new doggy might do good ^w^
