Patreon Thoughts?

I'm curious! What do YOU like (or dislike) in an artist's Patreon offerings? Do you usually look for particular perks, or do you mostly use Patreon as a monthly tip jar?
Thanks for indulging!

I'm sure that most people dislike paywalls.
I've noticed that a lot of artists on here and YouTubers seem to use Patreon these days.
I meant to say:
I do plan on getting Patreon for when I get my art/video career all set up.

Patreon is a way to get support/donations for doing your own thing, while taking commissions is a form of business. Patron lets you paint what _you_ want to paint, and still not starve to death, while commissions require you to paint what others tell you to paint.
The fact that _some_ people abuse Patreon for a paywall, which it was never meant to be, does not change this.
As a consumer: Early access! I'm a patron to a couple folks for the early access to their artwork, and sometimes exclusive access to alternative versions of art/select illustrations and that sort. But, if I really like an artist and I just want to support 'em and I have a bit to spare, I'll chip in a dollar or two. I have no set goal on "what I can get" from them - all I want is for them to keep making art, and that it's the art they'd like to be making! :)
