1. Maro is a hybrid of undefinied feline and canine species. She also has some traits of dragon but they are not clearly visible. Her tail is so big and thick a normal animal couldn't live normally with such ballast.

3. About her name:
When I was a kid, we had way more homework to do than kids today. After spending around 5 to 7 hours at school, I had to spend another 2 to 4 hours if I wanted to do all homework properly. Sometimes it was like 10 questions to answer from history book, an essay for polish lessons, some english exercises, around 10 math problems etc. Of course I couldn't handle this alone and I didn't know anyone who did all homework alone xD We just collected some books of other students and copied the homework on the floor. But sometimes my parents controlled me and I had to do all this homework normally. After 2 subjects I couldn't focus and just change my thinking from one subject to another easily. I still think we had way more homework than we should. It only leaded to frustration, not to actually learn anything useful. And I remember the evening when I was completely exhausted, frustrated, sad and I looked at the history book, reading one sentence like 8 times without understanding the context. I started to stare at the little map and a word "Maroko" caught my attention. I thought It's a really nice word, I am not sure why xD I stared at this map for like 30 minutes because I was too tired and bored to do anything else.
The next day I created a new account on The Lion King RPG forum (my first roleplay forum ever!) Because my previous one was named Weronika12 and I noticed people don't call their characters by their real name xD My new account was called Maroko and You know what? I haven't even remember I saw it on a map, I just didn't know it's a name of country. Just remembered the word Maroko and that's all what I knew from all this stupid homework I had to do.
If I only knew most people will call me Maro in real life when I'll be 24 years old xD
4. Maro's species
2 years after the story from previous fact, my fursona started to change. I liked anime and Nina from fullmetal alchemist had an impact to my character's look. I just thought the concept of a hybrid is really cool, even if the story of Nina was pretty sad. I also saw so many awesome artworks on DeviantART, showing fantasy creatures drawn very realistic. It inspired me to make something with my Maro, she didn't have to be just a normal lion.

5. Maro's hair.
Maro's hairstyle always looked like mine. At first we had one light strand of hair, then whole right side of hair was blonde and the left one was dark brown (my natural color). At 2013 the light color changed to red. I just always liked weird hairstyles. I couldn't feel connected with Maro when our hair wasn't similar xD But now I have purple colour for like half of a year and she is still half red and I feel okay.

6. Forgotten fursona
When I was in art school, I haven't had a time for anything. I didn't create any art for myself for like 3 years. I had a break from DA and from my little world created in my mind. It all was forgotten. At 2013 my friend intruducted me to furries (because I didn't know about them even if I myself had fursona xD)
This and some other situations made me connected with Maro again.
7. Maro's paws.
They still are similar to hands and I imagine Maro as a feral animal with a great manual efficiency. She can just do anything she wants because why not? I always liked feral forms of character more than anthro. And Maro can function in every universe without changing her form :D

8. Personality of Maro is like mine, but I always imagined her as version of me without any concerns, doubts, fears and limits. It really helped me with some decisions in life. I sometimes thought what would Maro do- a completely free and relaxed version of me who has a courage to do things I can't do.
