β₯ So I found out that my Patreon work has been stolen and put up on a website (I will not give the name here if you want it to see if your Patreon work has been stolen, ask me and I will send it to you)
This website is full of awful people who do not consider the re-uploading of Patreon only art stealing. They have a FREAKIN' telegram group! they are proud of what they are doing. So from now on, I am ONLY going to be sending emails to my Patreons. I will no longer upload images or videos to them via the website as my account has been linked to this website via the bots that we are all having to deal with.
β₯ The pay up front system has kept me from getting more bots, but that doesn't keep the stuff that they were able to get from being taken. If you have yet to get the pay upfront system, send a message to patreon and let them know that you demand the service and that the service should be taken out of beta and given to all to prevent this from happening (even though it's just a band-aid and they will find a way to steal our art in other ways)
β₯ I have very few patreons and I trust each of them with the art that they are paying for.
and it is thanks to these thieves that today I am going to move my entire schedule in order to reformat my entire patreon system.
β₯ Patreon themselves have already stated that it is out of their jurisdiction to do anything about it.
β₯ TLDR; a website is linking patreon accounts and importing patreon exclusive content to that website and making it available to the public.
β₯ If you don't have a pay upfront system bug the shit out of patreon right now to get it done.

I will say that I've gotten a few "supporters" that Patreon seems to be taking care of pretty quickly, usually within hours they're completely removed from the website. I've only recently started /really/ using the service myself so it's been a huge downer to keep seeing this happen.
I don't want to go to the system of paying upfront but I may have to if this keeps up. I'm unsure if anything's been stolen as of yet, but it's causing me to be a little concerned. I already have ugly watermarks all over my files released to the public and I don't want to have to take further precautions than I already have.
Either way, thank you for the heads up and letting me know about that option should this keep being an issue! Best of luck to you in getting this taken care of. <3
I only have 5 backers and I talk to them and am friends with them and trust them. Those fraud accounts are hitting so many people they are trying to get everyone on patreon so that all the stuff that you make exclusive is no longer exclusive. and what is worse they are proud of what they are doing.
thank you for the luck, I am gonnna need it. even if I do get my work taken down from that site, who knows how many people have downloaded them by now, but I already informed my patreons that I will start sending emails to them instead of uploading to patreon.
