The first artists have been known for a while, the first song since December 23rd. More and more countries release lineups, snippets and full songs.
It's beginning to look a lot like Eurovision.
The eurovision gears are gaining momentum all over Europe. France is just a few days away from choosing their song, and several other selection shows are well on their way. The high season is just a couple weekends away with multiple shows every weekend.
For a lot of fans the first heat of the Swedish Melodifestivalen, arguably the most anticipated selection show every year, is the start of the proper Eurovision season.
The only country to choose a song so far is Albania, who through their traditional Festival Kenges chose the song Mall for Lisbon. A popular choice by the jury, both among fans and Albanians. Many predict a triumphant return to the final for the nation.
On Saturday France will choose their entry in the final of their Destination Eurovision. The return of a French national final has been warmly welcomed by fans, and there is a wide consensus that it's a strong national final that will probably lead to a good score for France.
