We are getting very close to the host city decision. The three Dutch host broadcasters have narrowed their list down to Rotterdam and Maastricht. The two cities have now been given Friday as a deadline to deliver some final updates to their bid books before one of them is chosen.
On the surface Rotterdam may seem like the runaway winner, with the superior venue and hotel capacity. Maastricht has proven to be a far tougher competition than anyone anticipated with their enthusiasm, extensive plans for city wide events and strong financial support.
