Using FA more
I've been pretty terrible at leveraging this site to build an audience, which is a little silly given that this is still basically where the furries hang out, even while complaining about FA. (I have complaints about FA, too, but, y'know.)
First off, updates: I revamped my personal web site and moved domains; now it's at coyotetracks.org.
Kismet has been getting some positive reviews, including in Analog, which wrote "It’s a fun, action-filled story set against a fascinating and well-realized background, and Gail is as smart and feisty as a C. J. Cherryh heroine. Below the surface, there’s enough social commentary to make for a fairly complex morality tale, with plenty of echoes of today’s world." If you haven't read it, and you'd like to, I'm just saying, it's pretty good.

Speaking of that, the Ursa Major Awards nominations are now open. I think Kismet is the only thing that I published last year that's eligible, but if you're reading this, you're eligible to nominate it! And I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so.

Lastly, a question. I'm considering reordering my "gallery" here, deleting a few of the oldest pieces and possibly re-uploading them, and possibly uploading more of the stories from Why Coyotes Howl that haven't appeared online before. I'll be candid and say this is mostly just to see if it'll attract more attention to start regularly updating here. Make sense? Make nonsense? What do you think?

FA+

No Updates = No attention and I can strongly attest to that.
Some Updates are better than nothing, and get a few comments.
Some comments get a few comments.
I don't know what it means and I certainly can't monetize it. I don't know if anyone knows, remembers or cares. I've certainly been the annoying Fan more often than Fanned annoyingly. So it is what it is.
I will indeed nominate Kismit to the awards, as it's the best I've read so far.
And finally you've proven yourself, so, please. I hope to see much more from you on FA and DA if you have an account there. You rock, girl! :)
Personally, though I’ve read the Revar and bat stories by you for free online, I would absolutely pay for a collection of them. The same might happen with others if you do short stories here and collect them as ebooks or even print books. :)
Oh, and the suggestion of collected early Revar stories? I'd jump on that instantly! Stubat
although that's subjective; for me, at least, FA's presentation of "Tow" is less readable than SoFurry's presentation, although both of them are kind of ass compared to reading it on my website. But the audience is the weird question mark. FA has a much larger potential audience, although to my surprise, looking at the view statistics right now, the posts on SoFurry usually beat the ones on FA, sometimes by significant margins. Apparently I shouldn't be ignoring SoFurry, either.
It's like advertising some niche product on both a place that caters more to the niche, and a bit on the most 'mainstream' outlet that covers the interest at all.
(Besides, in all cases I'm just as happy with a pdf or rtf or whatever download so I can see it "as intended". But that's me.)
