Bugs and non mamal animals.

This is my goal too.

Maybe more animal-y animals? Like, still toony but...Balto/101 Dalmations sorta stuff, where they run around on all fours and such.

I like your idea of more fantasy creatures, but I'm also a sucker for those XD But I also agree with RedVelvetBat: Seeing more feral animals in your gallery would be cool! (toony or realistic, you'd do great at both I'm sure, but you can try going for realism is you wanna move away from your comfort zone) :)
Could also try something with more backgrounds and/or action. I think either of these things would be really cool to see your go at ^_^
