I'm not too into black metal myself, I like Angra a LOT; Be'lakor is pretty good; and, funnily enough, Sleep and Electric Wizard, even though I'm really not into stoner metal, well, they are doom; Apocalyptica is very interesting, but not for everybody, i guess :P
I just started listening to Cobalt, Auroch and Alchemist, well today, but I haven't decided whether I like them or not yet.
As for things outside the metal spectrum, well there is a lot of things I listen to soo... Zappa is good and humorous, Laurie Anderson is pure gold, but really, I can go on for hours, so I'm going to cut it here hahahaha.
just a note, if you really want to find a lot of good metal bands, - at the risk of you already knowing this -, I mostly either randomly listen to things from metallum or from metal threads in 4ch. For some reason, when the moons align the metal-heads come and just dump god-tier albums...
I never isolate myself to one genre, I've got stuff in every style that I like; I absolutely love 80's pop, post-punk and classical music. Metal wise I kinda only like Black and Power metal like Blind Guardian and Freedom Call. Power metal for those cheesy as fuck but absolutely awesome lyrics and Black for the atmosphere and also cause I'm a goth bitch who loves satan
Really? I'm actually a big classical guy myself, I love Bach' fugues, but I'm open to other guys muahaha, I love everyone, from Mahler to Steve Reich and Phil Glass.
as for other things...
Kavinsky and Carpenter Brut are great electronic music composers;
Bob Dylan is, well, a god of folk, blues, whatever he wants to be atm.
Unfortunately I like a lot of Brazilian music, and well, it just isn't that easy for non-speakers... Although Villa-Lobos, Nazareth and Baden are very easy to listen even to gringos :D
It is just a shame that most of the lyrics of Cartola will be lost in translation, so I'll not include him here... DSBM makes me jump with joy compared to his sad Sambas, they are soul wrenching.
But I'll absolutely look into the bands you talked about, and others if you have more to recommend
most of the classical I'm into is Russian stuff like Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev as well as some modern stuff like Zbigniew Preisner. Ill check out those guys, about the only brazillian artist I'm aware of is Seu Jorge
If you want to get into Black Metal, Bathory in my opinion is the best place to start. "Blood Fire and Death" and the first album "Bathory" are good for starters. Bathory along with Venom and Hellhammer are like the founders of Black Metal and good for beginners; then you can move onto people like Darkthrone, Ulver, Batushka, Xasthur, Niflheim, Iskra, and Downfall of Nur. Its kinda hard for me to enjoy some of it because theres a LOT of Neo Nazi bands like Burzum and Mayhem; like the majority are which is why I tend to stick to older bands and other styles like DSBM and ambient Black Metal
what kind of rap? I like XXXTentacion, Ski Mask, Ghostemane and Tyler the Creator; as well as Death Grips for more experimental hip hop though they're really hard to get into

"Spread your fire" is just beautiful, if you're a satan loving bitch as well
