when i saw discord the moment it appeared, i instantly moved there (there werent even DMs back then, just servers)
Skype really gets annoying and lately is working even worse than ever, i ended up just using the one included in win 10 if anyone still talks to me there but yeah, Discord got its charm and they changed how the Voice Chat worked not so long ago, making it better than it used to be before

Discord should serve you well. I personally find it to be a very tidy, easy to use, and bug-free experience

Honestly I never had an issue with Skype, the desktop version anyway. Mobile version ended up going to shit though and since that’s where I used it most, that’s what caused me to switch to Discord

Discord & Telegram have been my only means of talking with anyone since I heard of those two. Ditched Skype altogether since it’s been giving me nothing but connection issues, that and most everyone of my contacts moved on from that dump

Even I moved on from Skype, and I really, really didn't want to. Eventually, social networking platforms just don't give you much of a choice: you gotta go where the people go.

My position on it as well. Only reason I moved was because new system. But you know how this goes. More people and better something is... Sooner it will go corporate.

Oh absolutely. People love Discord now, but give it a few years and it'll be trash. XD

The more that do so, the sooner that Skype will be forced to attempt to improve.

Or Microsoft tries to buy off Discord, then fucks it up my merging it with Skype

I also still have one friend who primarily uses Skype. He got a discord account but is never on it. The war continues my friend. Talk to you on discord@

Discord its way more flexible and many people are making the move to it
