Hey, lad. I’ve already gone through this same process, but my journey started 30+ years ago. It never gets easy as the days progress, but be strong and you’ll be alright. You’ve lots of support behind you. Take your time and heal.

Do what I did when my mom passed, keep one or two things of hers with you. For my dad, who died 21 years ago, it was his wallet (leather) which I still have and use to this day. For my mom, it's a large picture of her in my room smiling. It's also nice that once in a blue moon, I dream about her all nice and happy. I see it as her reminding me that she's doing quite well up there. Bottom line, know that while she may be gone physically, her memory will always be eternal...thus she'll never truly be gone. I've learned to find great comfort in that. You should too.

I'm keeping a portrait of her in my living room, and have kept the amethyst pendant I bought for her as a birthday gift 8 years ago. As well as some other small knick-knacks of hers.

Ooh...That's rough loosing your mother. My condolences to you. Well, it's a time to grieve, but it will eventually get better. Your mothet is in a much better place, so you shouldn't worry to much. At this point, you must continue to move forward. But always remember, you will still have precious memories of your dear mother.

It's never easy... you have our condolences

My deepest condolences.

My father passed away years ago, but I still remember the blissful times he spent with me.

There's really nothing I can say to reassure you that the pain won't go away. I haven't crossed that line myself yet with my parents. But I lost my grand father a couple of years ago, and it seems really surreal. But then I realized as he was drifting away. I didn't like seeing him that way, and realized it was for the best. And the pain slightly eased.

It's scary to think about. But your mom is at peace. And she is inside of you. So she is living on. You'll understand when she starts showing up in your dreams a lot in full detail. Because that's what happened to me when I lost my grand dad.

Don't know why I felt the need to type all this. But I just felt like "my condolences" isn't enough. To let you know that she truly isn't gone you know? Anyways. Hope you're staying strong there.
