As always, it's this time of the year again, and as always I have sorted the questions on a category basis and added extra ones that might be good to know. SO HERE WE GO:

PERSONAL

Name:

What is your gender?
I don't have a gender identity. I prefer 'they' or 'pao', but 'she' and 'he' are also acceptable.
(Janath is very definitely a 'he', though, and the Terrorkitens aren’t any.)

How old are you?
I’ll be thirty-two at NFC.

How tall are you?
Approximately 175cm.

Relationship Status:
Polyamorous. Two very long term partners.

Which languages do you speak?
Swedish and English. Primarily English, due to my international friends. I'm also sometimes caught muttering things in different conlangs. I also highball Trainworld jargon when not hiding on the cesses about it, but I'm still in transit on whether or not I should do so in person. The answer isn't really clear as a rare sky.

Have you been to Sweden before?
*chimes* I have always been here. *breathes and chimes again*

Do you drink alcohol/smoke?
Occasionally I will drink alcohol (I prefer single malts and dark stouts and ales), but only when I'm feeling safe. I don't smoke or vape or anything similar.

What do I have to watch out for, when I am meeting you?
I have a few disabilities and chronic illnesses you should be aware of, the most important ow which are:
Chronic pain: I'm always in extensive (although not always severe) pain. It will often change quickly, but when it's too bad I have medication. I might walk around on crutches one day and not another, or in the morning and not in the evening or vice versa.
Insomnia: Like, real insomnia. Without my meds I don't sleep, and they don’t work that well.
Faceblindness: If we have talked and later you wave at me and I look at you like you're a stranger, please don't be hurt. Just approach and remind me of something from an earlier conversation. I will remember who you are and be happy to meet you again!
(Pro tip: Also remind me of your name if you're not wearing a clear badge, because I'm as bad with names as I am with faces.)
Trauma: Won't go into details here, but I have been through a lot of terrible things. In short: it’s better to offer me hugs than give them without asking. Also: Never, ever hug me from behind without making yourself known and asking first. I sometimes react violently to this, especially if I'm stressed out and/or tired.

Can I ask about these chronic illnesses and stuff?
If you want. I'm used to questions.

Let me cut you off right here: NO, DON'T DO THIS TO PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESSES OR DISABILITIES. I understand that you mean well, but this gets old really quickly: if you really want to give advice, ask first.

Do you take any drugs?
I occasionally take some things which would be classified as such if I didn't have a prescription for them from my doctor. These can occasionally make me seem a bit distant or zoned out. I have a special mood badge for when I'm in so much pain I've needed to take my painmeds, at least.

NO. NO, YOU CAN'T HAVE SOME. THIS SHOULD NOT EVEN BE A QUESTION YOU ASK PEOPLE. I'm not going to give them away. And before you ask: no, I won't sell them to you either. If you ask me this, I seriously might never want to talk to you again. It's so disrespectful.

CONVENTION

Where are you staying?
At the hotel at Infra City.

Sharing a room with:
No one. I need a single room to be able to hide when I need to rest or if I’m in too much pain, and to manage my insomnia.

Means of transportation?
On paw when there - getting there through taxi service. I live nearby.

Where will you be most of the time during the day?
Hopefully running around all over the hotel in manic excitement, or sitting in a corner somewhere, drawing stuff. I'll be alone in my room a lot to recover and rest so that I can better attend to my duties. At night I might do late night socialising when things are more quiet. I also hope to fursuit and cosplay a lot.

Are you doing anything for the convention?
Still not sure what this question means, but I’m in the STEW and work as a medic, if that counts?

Attending any events?
I will attend a few as a medic, but I'm not sure which events I will attend as an ordinary attendee yet.

Other cons you may go to?
NFC is the only con I attend.


SOCIAL STUFF...

How can I get your attention?
Out of suit: Call my name (Pao) or just come up and introduce yourself if you're new to me.
If we know one another, just do as you always do when meeting me.
In suit: If you know the name of the 'sona, call their name (or 'terrorkitten'), not mine. You can also come up to me from the front and say hello.
Never, ever hug or touch me* without warning - especially not when I'm suiting - because I might not see who you are. Even if I do, this will severely impact my view of you in a very negative way.

*(A firm hand on my arm to get my attention is usually all right, unless I’m wearing my: ‘Do Not Touch Me’ badge.)

Are you nice?
I see myself as polite rather than nice or kind. They aren’t necessarily the same.

Who will you be with?
My friends, new and old. The others in the medic and security teams. The people I run into. If you want to hang out with me, please ping me on Telegram or Twitter. I would love to, especially for being creative together!

Can I talk to you?
Usually. If I'm outside of my room I'm very approachable but if I'm on my way there please don't take it personally if I can't stop and chat. My disabilities are real and when I'm about to break I might need self-care RIGHT THAT MOMENT. It's just how things are.

Can we hang out?
Probably..? Poke me somewhere and we'll figure something out. It's much easier to hang out with me for creative things in a social setting, such as doing art together and the like.

How can I find you at the con?
Keep your eyes open for someone wearing A LOT OF RED. Often even a red top hat. Usually I wear a black tail and ears too if I'm not wearing a too small hat. If you see me, just call out 'Paaaooo!' and I should notice you.

You can invite me to as many parties as you'd like. I'll most probably accept if I have the spoons for it, but I might have to decline.

No. Not unless we're on extremely good terms and you're one of those who are welcome into my nest.

Can I hang with you in your room?
If you are someone I like and trust a lot... perhaps. I do like hanging out with people in my room but I need my room to be my safe place and I usually have a LOT of stuff in it, so I invite or accept requests on my own discretion. You can ask, but always respect my answer.

Can I dance with you?
I don't dance much, but if I'm dancing you can dance in my general vicinity if you want to. Please don't grab me and try to swing me around, though.

Can we go out for a dinner or eat together?
Depends. Ask me if you would like, but I might decline. I sometimes eat at weird hours, and sometimes I like to eat alone. Also, you cannot buy me food unless we are really good friends.

You look pretty tired, are you ok?
I have insomnia, but usually it's not noticeable. If you can tell I'm looking tired, please let me know.

Yes, pretty much always, but I prefer to be asked first if it's not a random crowd photo.
However, an exception is if I'm currently helping a patient an I'm on my duty: in that case, please don't take any photos. Respect my patient and their privacy, please.

May I kidnap you to my room?
No kidnapping. That's hardly polite, is it? You may invite me, and I might accept the invitation if I feel like it and have the time, however.


SUITING AND FURSONAS

What suit(s) will you have? / What are your fursonas?
Janath Manakai: He's a smug anarchist with an affinity and fondness for fire and drumming.

I often fursuit him OOC, though.
[Terrorkittens]: They don't have individual names, so I call them by their species name. A curious, sexless monster creature. There is a whole page about terrorkittens here: http://stories.panterdjuret.nu/abou.....terrorkittens/
They are very vocal, usually, but don't speak human languages much. When they do it's usually one or two word sentences, repeated over and over.
If I fursuit as them it’s always mostly in character unless something urgent needs dealing with.

Wait, something is missing there! Why is your panther thing not on that list?
Because I don't consider it a fursona. The black panther thing is me. Consider it a therian thing if you want.

Do you have a fursuit?
A red fennecat (fennec/cat hybrid) called Janath Manakai.
A blue fennec called Ms Faernleah Gladechild (temporarily retired).
The terrorkitten fursuit is almost all done too.


ART AND TRADES AND SUCHLIKE

Do you do free art?
Yes, but only when I feel like it and have the time and energy. I can't do nearly as much as I would like to though due to being a spoonie and needing most of my spoons for survival and my duties.
(Please never ask me for free art, because I will be very sad to have to turn you down, but if we are friends you are free to tell me it would be all right to draw you art.)

Do you do trades?
Sometimes, but usually only at cons when sitting and drawing with other people, as a social thing.

Do you do commissions?
I currently don't take commissions, for any reason... but I am looking into opening up for them in the future.

Do you have prints/ CDs?
I'm not at NFC to sell anything.

Are you buying art?
Maybe, I don't know yet.


BUYING/GIVING ME STUFF

Can I give you lots of money?
... no. Not for any reason.

Can I buy you lots of drinks?
Most probably not. I generally only accept gifts from close friends and I can't drink if I have needed or will need to take painmeds. You can always ask, but I'll probably decline unless we're on that kind of terms.

Can I give you presents?
Is it art you've made? Sure, I would like that, and if I have any opportunity to make some you will get art in return! We could sit and draw and talk together. To me, being creative together is one of the best ways to be social and to hang out.
