My birthday's this month and my fingers hurt.

General
On August 24th I will officially turn 21 years old. Like my last five birthdays, the celebration will most likely be minimal and I will probably be eating out with my parents, silently enjoying my meal while they talk about work, the house, and neighboors.
Or my furry bro will take me out for my first drink and I'll come home wasted. :D
Either way though, as a way of commemorating my first day as a fully legal adult, I intend to start it with a song.
Literally.
Starting yesterday I have made a vow to learn "The Time's They Are A-Changin" by Bob Dylan (aka the intro to The Watchmen for you non-music savvy types) and record it to post here on my birthday. For a deep and moving song its a relatively easy piece that uses only 5 bar chords (G, E minor, C, A minor, and D) played over and over again repeatedly.
The problem is until yesterday I hadn't touched my guitar in almost a year... and I'm really starting to feel it.
If you ever played guitar than you'd know that after pressing and running your fret fingers against hard metal or rough nylon strings for a long period of time, the skin on your fingertips becomes tough and callous thus making it less painful to play.
Because I haven't played in so long though, the callouses on my fingertips have healed over and I now have to grow them back as I learn this song.
>.< Every key I hit with my left fingers feels like a sharp pin prick.

I love that song. Bob Dylan is definitely masterful.
