Character Adopts Not only do i feel like shit (not looking very pretty either) but i learn that someone uploads MY character to their instagram account without my knowledge.
Hubby says they are promoting artists, but heres the thing, you can ask the artist if you can upload the pic, but technically the person who paid for it should also be asked too. After all the pic belongs to them just as much as the artist, right?
I did not give any permission to anyone to use this pic: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/26282367/ anywhere... I will not show the account that it is on just yet... Ill admit in my rage i commented on post on instagram and considering i already feel like shit, then to see that, i didnt handle it as well as i should have. so if the person is on here and reading my journal, i do apologize for not being more professional about it... but to me... you stole my character and thats something i can not stand for. especially when that character is basically me. i spent years perfecting her.
I will await a response from the instagramer. If i dont get anything by the end of today, then i will show everyone the account...

Tumblr is full of furry art blogs where they just post other artists work, so I am very familiar with these things~ Most of the time they don't ask, but they're usually pretty nice about taking things down and the owners request. Not sure about insta though
I mean if they got permission from the artist then thats cool and all but they must get permission from the character owner, which i feel is just as importnant.
I mean im glad someone is promoting artists art, really i am. however, having RL ppl with their personal instagram accounts is different than someone on here for me... plus a lot of my friends know my character and know that i never mix my furry life with my RL. the only exception is my husband and other furry friends.
and actually they have an FA as well, and follow the artists whose work they posted~ xD
and true as that may be... but i still cant help but feel a bit violated. posting furry stuff on furry sites is one thing, but posting it on something thats more than just a furry site is a bit too far for me. i saw the comments and honestly i didnt really like some of them... i cant explain it but... id rather not have my character on instagram, or other sites like that...
also the only way i can even contact the person on Instagram is through the comments. i have an instagram but i rarely ever use it, but its connected to my FB (sort of).
