I thank you for opening the door to the universe that much more wider for the rest of us to look into, may you be another giant that others will stand upon to extend our understanding of everything.
god SHIT i literally found this out from you just now xxmxx
didn't really have much personal investment in his work but it's always sad to lose a great mind yo, and he was undoubtedly one of the best. RIP a fuckin legend.
It really upset me as I was sitting in class and someone exclaimed “Stephen Hawking has died!” to everyone. Having grown up with a passion for science, as an admirer or his work, now studying engineering, it was definitely quite heartbreaking to hear that he is no longer with us.
On the bright side, he lived an amazing life and did many incredible things, and lived much longer than doctors believed he would. His theories have made many new scientific concepts, many of which have real world applications. He’ll be remembered in time as another pioneer of discovery. But many of us, as shown in the above comments, will miss him very much.
He gave us the key that opened up the realm of possibilities. Today is indeed a black day, for we have lost one of the greatest scientists in the world, standing tall as Albert Einstein himself.
RIP Stephen Hawking, though you may have moved on onto another realm, your legacy, your research, shall be honored and contiued forth. *Takes off hat and hold it over my heart*
I already said this on Dragoneer's journal, but it may not be coincidental that he died today, 3.14 (3/14) ; for multiple reasons other than just "pi". The family would not reveal the cause of death.
Not that its bad though, he lived 55 years longer than the doctors said he would.
may he rest in peace ;w;

Amazing how he lived as long as he did though. Most people with his condition don't live nearly as long.
RIP Stephen. You will be missed dearly.

Stephen Hawking knew the universe perhaps better than any human ever.
