If you've ever watched or read Bleach, it would be a Zanpakuto.
Here's an example of such a sword, in how complex it would be.

That's Zabimaru, and the sword I have in mind would be even less complex.
Still trying to figure all of those details out. I may even go with that my character hasn't achieved Bankai yeet.
