I've decided to open my services to the public in order to help out whoever else may need a second pair of eyes to look over a document, either to iron out the wrinkles or give it that extra little needed boost! What will follow are the guidelines, pricing, and terms of service should you wish to hire my services. Please feel free to ask any questions in the comments below!

How it Works, Rates, and Terms of Service
First and foremost, I’d like to thank anybody reading this for considering my editing services to help make the difference in your writing, whether it’s just as a hobby or as part of your education and livelihood. Written language isn’t likely to go anywhere anytime soon, after all, so why not take some pride in what you’re putting out into the world?
How it works:

If accepted, you will receive an email confirmation from myself asking to attach your document to the conversation, as well as any other questions I may have for you.
I will only work through Google Docs. If the document was created in any other program, copy it into a Google Doc and then share it.
If you have any special notes, such as a fictional character using excessive slang or an otherwise improper manner of speaking, for example, now would be the time to mention it.
I will begin working on your document at my earliest convenience, marking my edits in red or another discernible color to act as clear proof of changes, as well as a tally of cost. Editing will typically be finished within a week of submission, not counting holidays and weekends.
I will typically take holidays and weekends off, but this is not definite. It will largely depend on my workload and mood as to whether or not I decide to work on said days.

Once the editing is complete I will send you an email letting you know, as well as a PayPal invoice for the final cost.
The edited document will be held until payment is fulfilled, no exceptions.
The edited document will then be sent, where you are expected to look through the changes and switch my colored changes to your desired formatting.
Discrepancies and disagreements with my edits can be discussed for the potential refunds for those you do not agree with. I will be as fair, patient, and lenient as possible, but do not expect to take advantage of my
kindness.

Such content is entirely based in creative expression. If somebody else tampers with the words and formatting, it could lose all meaning to the original writer.
Topics I’m unfamiliar with
I will consider the submission if you can provide sufficient explanation of the topic or point me in the right direction to learn about it, but they may take a bit longer if accepted.
Irredeemably error-filled work
If I’m editing your content and I can’t understand any of what I’m reading, making it impossible to salvage, you will be notified of my rejection. The reason is twofold: I wouldn’t want to spend hours of my time attempting to
decipher gibberish and you wouldn’t need to pay huge amounts of money for virtually a complete rewrite.
Topics that make me otherwise uncomfortable
Self-explanatory, I maintain the right to reject any content that qualifies as such.
Payment and rates:
A base price of five dollars ($5) will be charged per every thousand words, rounding up from five hundred. Shorter submissions will cost less, longer submissions will cost more.
Any significant (explained below) edits will contribute one additional dollar ($1) to the final price, based entirely on your ability to write clearly and coherently, conforming to the rules of English spelling and grammar.
I will not charge for minimal spelling errors and typos, punctuation errors, and other small changes.
Ex: “cant” - “can’t”
Ex: “doog” - “dog”
I will charge for significant spelling errors, rewriting and/or rewording confusing phrases and sentences, and other large changes.
Ex: “dissrupshun” - “disruption”
Ex: “with his owner the dog jumped up onto the couch” - “the dog jumped up onto the couch with his owner”
If you are not sufficiently fluent in English the final cost of editing will be halved to save you potentially significant amounts of money. With such a substantial discount I expect complete honestly, and I will go out of my way to investigate your credibility and English fluency if I believe something is awry.
For example, if you truly need to refer to any [Language]-English dictionaries to communicate with a native English speaker, you would qualify for the discount.
If you wish for your work to receive a priority rush for reasons such as procrastination, hard deadlines, or severe impatience, it can be arranged for an additional fee:
Within the next day: $20
Within the next two days: $15
Within the next three days: $10
Crediting me as the editor on any non-business online publication or upload is expected, though a small lost exposure fee can be included if you do not wish to. The fee will be relative to the length of the document and the final cost.
Please refer to the Terms of Service regarding refunds.
Terms of Service:
The following conditions are hereby agreed to between Texotic, hereafter known as the editor, and those that are rendering his services, hereafter known as the client. All terms stated below are considered binding and no other forms will be considered legal without the express written and signed consent of both the editor and client. Any and all articles contained therein are for the protection of both parties and are superseded only by the written consent of the editor.
Clients are required to have read the Terms of Service before entering into any and all work agreements with the editor. Any contract made thereafter will assume on the part of the client that they have taken the reasonable action of reading and taking on the responsibilities given to them by the Terms of Service.
The editor has the right to refuse any and all ideas including iterations thereof, final approval must be given by the editor before any work is to be done on the work of the client.
At any point, either before the work is started but after entering into an agreement with the editor, the agreement between the two parties can be dissolved on the part of the client.
If work has already started on the project and the client still wishes to dissolve the agreement then a fee will be charged for the services already rendered, to be determined on the part of the editor.
Upon project completion the client is responsible for the total cost of the project, base cost plus edit fee, within one calendar day upon notification of services rendered. Client will receive the completed project upon the full and complete payment of said price.
