And as you even basically admitted to taking part of talking bad about someone's back, of course they have the right to be offended. If you really weren't afraid and were just "speaking the truth" as you so put it, you wouldn't of had a problem shoving it in people's faces, but instead you have to try and deface them behind their back to their own friends trying to get people's support to cover you if they find out you what you say behind someone's back, as you've already shown.
