8 Things You May or May Not Find Interesting
1. IRL, I can often be surprisingly timid and extremely reserved.
2. However, I am often described as, "always cheerful and bubbly." Wtf.
3. I identify physically as female, but mentally as unlabelled.
4. I'm usually quietly seething about something or other.
5. I'm in the process of having mental issues diagnosed :/ The eventual diagnosis should hopefully explain a lot, heh.
6. I don't trust anyone completely.
7. My preoccupation with proper spelling and grammar borders on OCD, and there are actually interesting psychological reasons behind this.
8. I don't think my RL friends would reject me as such if they discovered my participation in this fandom; but they might lose respect for me. Or mock me incessantly. It's hard to tell. So I keep it secret :P
Ramblings
Gahhhhh I'm sick and I hate it. I miss being able to breathe at night. The other night I had this crazy fever that kind of freaked me out; it involved some hallucinations and me believing that I had to lie at a certain precise angle or I wouldn't be able to breathe, but I didn't know what that angle was, so I thought I wouldn't be able to breathe, and as a result got no sleep. Also, the boyfriend was an asshole about it which didn't help matters any.
Um.
Saw Public Enemies last night. Didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would. I mean, Johnny Depp is DELICIOUS and did quite well, and Faramir was (briefly) there which was cool... but, well, meh. It was poorly edited and they presented Dillinger and Billie's relationship as romantic when it just wasn't. Dillinger was all, "You're mine and you can never leave," which is just creepy, and then he informed her that she no longer needed a job (no longer needed financial independence) because he, the Male, would now look after her. Never mind that he could die/be arrested at any time and therefore she would lose her Protection. And I know, it was the 30s or whatever, there were different social attitudes back then. It was still annoying.
Also, I don't like Christian Bale. He tried to be all hardcore and give Dillinger the stare when they talked in the prison, and he just looked like an asshole.
Oh well. I giggled inappropriately through all the shoot-outs because a) they were hideously done, and b) all those who were shot appeared to be under what has been dubbed the Boromir Effect: i.e., it seemed they had to be shot SIX HUNDRED TIMES before they died. Anyone who has seen Boromir's death scene in LOTR should understand.
ANYWAY. I'm bored and have an Ebay auction to win, so I'll end it here.
