I'm all about the chest hair. Realistic muscle/proportions, sort of just the whole 'could be your dad' thing.

It’s multifaceted for me. It’s the body type that’s associated with Bara, which as a whole, gives off that masculine vibe and appearance. It also, depending on the artist, tends to be a more realistic representation of the male physique, and secondary sex characteristics.

For many characters, it gives them a sense of strength and power, without detracting from their potentially kind, cuddly nature. Because, what tends to happen in a lot of furry art for example, is that the “bottom” is generally drawn as smaller, perhaps more feminine (nothing wrong with that), whereas in Bara you usually maintain that bulk, that masculinity, while still being submissive. Nothing is sexier than a big bara character that’s a little silly and goofy, while still being completely hot as hell. Who wouldn’t want to either be under or on top of one of those big guys?

They can be kind or cruel depending on their personality in bed

Bit of Bondage mixed with size play and Big dom, small bottom or power bottoms

It's important to keep it anatomically correct, because the muscles tend to be oversized.

I like a combination of fat and muscle for baras personally. Plus, I like the gentle types in terms of personality. Think Asgore from Undertale.

I like about how the characters are thick and meaty in muscle. They have muscle guts and the sex is really aggressive.

I dont like the censoring but censor bars are better than mosaic.

Its really all about the style of it. You can usually tell if it was a Japanese Artist, Korean or even Chinese artist, showing the style of their technique. The eyes etc is what gives it that look. Even furry bara.

Ive tried doing it and its really hard to get it where it fits with your style and the bara style.

Simply mix the style with your own but i dont know if it will mess with your original style. Switching over to different style of the facial features etc has messed me up before. I just leave it to the pros who can do it.

One other thing i like is the backgrounds they give in it. Its SOOO freaking good.

Each page has the background and nothing is lazy.

I had no idea this existed, so this was educational.

I think the appeal of bara for me is visualizing the physical sensations that their bodies supply. The firm, rounded base of muscle overlaid with just a little bit of fat to soften it out. The way their strength means their body only moves in ways they allow it to.

For me, Bara is a lot of fun because it's not only a different type of body to draw, but typically there are more shapes to enjoy. Boy only can you enjoy a nice round but, but the arms and pecs are bigger and rounder, and the torso is either built and round too, or is more defined

Arguably Bara offers more detail for the body and anatomy than a skinnier person does, so there's more to fawn over

I just love seeing less conventionally attractive characters in porn, especially fat men. I think it's a matter of attraction, but I've always found fat men sexier than slim guys.

I love me some baras sometimes! But I have to say, bara on bara action is a bit boring. A big missed opportunity for size play and other exotic options!

What people want from and prefer to see in their bara content is DEFINITELY sort of a 'your mileage may vary' kinda thing. The kind of content that I like, personally, is SIZE DIFFERENCE, especially if the big buff bara is being dominated and subjugated by the smaller, more delicate party, and breastplay with big buff man pecs. Seeing a big dude blush while his chest is played with is a lot of fun =<=♥

Always loved how does bara. Cute, charming characters displaying shyness you wouldn't expect from such large sizes.
(Irony is often an effective tool) Combining femboy'ish facial structure and shyness with a huge body would be an interesting combination.

I think what you really have to understand about bara art in general is that it is drawn in such a way as to directly appeal to men.

It is art BY, FOR, and OF men—and that can be manifest in different ways.

Some men like muscles (I know I do).
Some men like chub/fat (not my thing, personally, but I can see why others do).
Some men like beards, mustaches, and thick body hair (again, not my thing, personally)
And while it can be said that most men like displays of aggressive behavior, there are still plenty out there who appreciate the submissive, "gentle giant" types.

So basically, anything that men find sexy (about other men) can be bara. It doesn't HAVE to include all the stuff I just mentioned, but it certainly helps.

Big muscles, especially pecs.

Huge chests, broad jaws, and strong/very masculine bottoms. All about that shit

Muscular and tall. Physically large, basically. Personally I'm not a fan of fat, but the most obvious examples are probably strongman competitors. Physical attributes seem to vary, as in hair length (or presence), beards, body hair, stereotypically manly dress, but more often than not masculinity is slopped on compared to grooming habits that are typically feminine. Pairing with guys that are smaller and feminine or tough and masculine are usually the go to's, since there's not much in-between.

As an artist who generally prefers twinks, drawing muscled characters is creatively interesting, more drawing involved, different shapes, etc.

I suspect whatever you draw it will be awesome...but, I beg of you...don't go completely over to the Bara Side! I have no idea what bara is about or how to like it, but its obviously popular. It just leaves me with no impression at all...skipworthy...and I've watched a few terrific artists go slowly over to extreme bara and never produce anything else again. Personally...it was a loss to me because they once made stuff I could follow and enjoy...then nothing but endlessly larger and larger muscled or fatter things. I used to wonder if they'd do any of their old style again...but not so much I guess. One way or another, they still have fans, and those fans must be happier than I am...but you've created whole stacks of my favorites...it would be a hell of a gut punch to lose you as well. Specially since so many bara fans have the insane nerve to claim that femboy twinks have unrealistic body types...while applauding gargantuan steroid hulks and creatures that would die of a heart attack getting up a flight of steps. "No one is that tiny and curvy and still male!" Bitches, please...I AM that body type! One night at Rumors in Grand Rapids and I could show them a half dozen fabulous queens that constantly remind me of your creations. Shit...the only reason I dated one guy was because he reminded of Jesse.
