Part of me wonders how the internet would be with a simple change to sites like if you responded last to the person you can't blockem for a time so if you wanted to get bitchy you gotta at least lettem respond. It would probably get bad but I'd still be curious to see it.

For all we know this could have been someone with lots of issues and this was just a "last straw" moment. Usually doesn't take much especially if the pile of straws are already really large.

eh, the comment I made was fairly innocuous. he was all offended by a guy making a sexual comment on -someone else's- clean pic. and honestly, the pic had sexual comments coming, since the character was SITTING ON A GIANT CUCUMBER, lol

Still, it doesn't take much to set someone off, especially if they've been going through a lot of crap. It's like an overfilled water balloon and that comment is a pin.

Doesn't take much to make the balloon pop and have all that emotion flood out.

I'll admit I'm somewhat guilty of the "last word" part of that, mostly because I feel people deserve to know precisely what happened and when to land them on my block list. Because I've also discovered that an artist blocked me completely out of the blue and been all for a long time trying to remember what the hell might've happened when to wind up on a list like that, and I definitely hate that feeling a lot more.

Of course, I try to moderate that by never blocking after just one comment; to give them the benefit of a doubt that maybe their initial comment was posted while under a lot of stress or after a night of heavy drinking. People that hit the block button right out of the gate tend to be either petty manchilds, or trolls hoping to shadow-block you.

So I applaud you for being able to laugh at said people. More likely than not, whomever did that most recently is looking at this journal and is going to spend the rest of the day stewing over it.

in my head-canon he is weeping into his tiny little middle-schooler hands right now. and it's going to stay that way, until he unblocks me and tells me otherwise, lol
