Ok seriously, Whats with the amount of toxicity there is towards April fools?

I am seeing a lot of journals telling people they are not funny or they shouldn't try.
I tend to not want to bring this stuff up but seriously, i feel like everyone is being way to harsh on this.

Some people want to try and do light hearted jokes, just don't be so aggressive goodness. Your no better than the people your saying are horrible or cancerous, I get some people don't do much effort or use memes but that's still ain't an excuse to be rude. I get some people go through the effort to make jokes too. But its all for fun and you really shouldn't take the jokes so... Serious

This is a comic series I am doing. It isn't for April fools day though. Its something continuous i was doing.

I probably will continue do it even if people call it shit. Cause its supposed to be shit.
I was going to upload it as an April fools joke but seeing how much spite and anger there is, I rather not because no one likes to have fun anymore.
