The Pirate's Fate: The Power of the Coins...

Before I start, I have to say that The Pirate's Fate is a FANTASTIC visual novel. I fully recommend getting it, and there's a deluxe bundle that is DEFINITELY worth getting, if you are interested in some backstory, a whole lot of art, and some really great music.
WARNING: THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. IF YOU DON'T WANT ANY PART OF THE GAME REVEALED, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Now then, I have a theory about the coins that the crew of The Pirate's Fate (and Roarke's crew, too) have been searching for:
They are all exactly the same in how they work: when a person holds it, nothing more, they themselves change depending on significant choices they make, as well as situations that bring their bodies close to death (or close to losing themselves). That's why when Mila did nothing to stop Roarke, Darious died instead of transforming. He was killed instantly, something that his coin couldn't undo, while Mila, when trying to bargain with Roarke and getting shot, transformed instead. It's also why Darious didn't completely transform into a bear when Circe tried to remove his grief over losing Morgana. His coin kept him from losing himself when he was transformed by the actions of Circe.
In addition to the coin transforming it's holder in times of significance, it can also enchant other things. However, the enchantment depends on the users desires, which varies from person to person:
Trento used the coin to enchant pies, as he desired pies that people would want to continuously eat. As an example, that trap he set for the crew (when they went to steal his coin) resulted in Morgana eating a LOT of pies, and gaining weight because of it.
Circe desired to bring everyone back to their primal states, to 'free their minds from the worries of life'. So, when she used the coin, she transformed 'willing' people into animals, something that was only interrupted due to outside influence (Darious and Leeko were both holding onto a coin in those instances).
At the Temple of Beauty, whoever grabbed the coin to transformed into a more 'beautiful' version of themselves, based on their desires at the moment.
The Love Shop sold enchanted items to help their patrons find love, the effects of which varied depending on what the couple gave and to whom they gave it to. The Haunted Mansion's owner, Lazerby, wanted to never die, so he became a spirit that could possess anyone.
The desires of those individuals shaped how the coin would shape others, or themselves. THAT'S how I think those coins work.
